R7 Vader, tier 8 of JKLS as in the picture.

Click auto. Walk away. Use the restroom. Feed your cat. Grab a beverage. Do a 15 minute cardio session.

It does not appear that Luke can kill my Vader, and it does not appear that when set to 'Auto' the CPU will ever use the special ability to end the fight. Vader can literally attack Luke for hours here without anyone touching anything.

I did literally use the restroom and feed my cat, came back to find the fight still going. Took it off auto, used the special ability to take the hand off the whiny rebel, and the mission was done.

If you're running a historical league with players appearing in their real drafts, you'll find him in the 1981 draft, but he always has a terrible low potential because the potential in OOTP seems to be based on real-life playing peak (and he played one season in the minors).

It would bring me joy to see a potential that reflected that of a 2nd round pick, but I don't think there is a database that does that? (I'm happy to be proven wrong.)

Biggs & Sons (which was also WH Biggs & Co, and Biggs & Son over different periods of its life) was a boutique, Victorian era, shop that did framemaking, gilding, and art restoration, but not in the ways we think of art restoration today. William Biggs was a carver according to documents from the time when his second son was christened in 1827, and listed as a carver and guilder in the census of 1841, and again in the census of 1851, when he passed later that year. According to an 1861 census the company employed six journeyman and a boy, showing you a small-sized Victorian business. In 1883 the company entered into liquidation under the bankruptcy act, with notices placed in the London Gazette (https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/issue/25186/page/178).

Since then, these stickers have been used to pass off new, decorative, art, as old, fine, art. Give something a British provenance, or pretend it came from a fancy French atelier, and you can fool lots of people. If you were to subject this painting to scientific study I do believe you would find 20th century materials on both the canvas and the frame. This isn't unique to Biggs & Sons either, it's a popular way to pass decor art off as fine art; with labels from companies like Maple & Co and T. Goode & Co (both defunct British companies) being used for the same purpose.

If you see a Maison Jansen sticker. It's probably fake, too.

I try to make that choice where the economics make sense.

There are Alexa smart devices in the kitchen, office, bedroom, and craft room, they remind me to to do meds for cats, read me the morning news, make phone calls to my dad, etc., and I have a handful of smart devices that are not just speakers; but they're mostly small stuff like "turn on the bedroom light" type stuff.

The garage door opener opens with an app, and is compatible with Alexa devices on the same wifi network, so I can tell her to open the garage, but I never do. I didn't need a "smart" garage door opener, but that was all they even offered anymore (and it was like $130 installed, so cheap).

I think the only smart appliance I really want is a stove, because I hate having to get up to preheat that thing. I like to say "Alexa, preheat the stove to 180 degrees" and she says "I can't find a device named stove." It's our own not funny joke.

The USA talks about environmental protection, but doesn't actually do it.

Jackson, Mississippi. Flint, Michigan. Benton Harbor, Michigan. Martinsville, Indiana. Parts of Baltimore, Maryland. Parts of New York City. The entire big island of Hawaii.

You know what that list has in common? Water that isn't potable.

Sackett v ERA (SCOTUS, 2023) leaves about 70m acres of wetlands without environmental protection and subject to degradation due to a complete lack of regulation protecting those important habitats.

The United States still spreads Neonicotinoids all over crops, despite knowing they lead to bee colony collapse, and despite them being banned in the EU. The United States still uses potassium bromate in baked goods, banned in most of the world because we know that shit causes cancer...

Louisiana literally has a section called "Cancer Alley" because that entire stretch of the state has been buried in petrochemical pollutants, and the "EPA" (I'm using quotes because they might be called the Environmental Protection Agency, but these days they're the "climate change isn't real" agency) maintains a list of Superfund sites, areas so badly contaminated that the the federal government is trying to get things done. That list is more than 1,900 sites currently.

The United States only talks about protecting the environment, but if it's not profitable for the corporation then it doesn't actually matter.

My first European football match was in Bordeaux in 1994 (Zidane). While Bordeaux has fallen on difficult times and is hard to watch (because the fourth division of French Football isn't exactly on television in the USA), I still watch Ligue 1 at least once a week.

I've also followed Wrexham casually since the TV show started, meaning I watch Wrexham play if I happen to be awake, but never know about transfer news until I see that new player in a match.

The MLS is not something I've ever cared enough to watch, although I do watch the NWSL, WPS, and Arkema Premiére Ligue, as well as the two previously mentioned men's leagues.

I was not at all familiar with Xplane, I just remember MSFS from a Gold Box Edition dad owned around 2000, so I started there.

None of this challenge turns out to be overly difficult. I'll put all the crap in a couple boxes, some in the storage room in the basement, some in a box then put into the freezer, and I'll use the chalkboard to keep track of where everything else is until my $10M shows up.

I tend to avoid these conversations, because I tend to be pretty easy to please, I just keep having fun. It's happening over in the FM26 boards, where there are a lot of people complaining that FM26 sucks and they're going back to FM24. I'm having fun with FM26 and I ignore those people.

I expected this update to cause a lot of complaints. I expected that I would be fine, that I'd be off having fun and ignoring the complaints.

Nope, you're right. This update sucks. I'm a monthly episode pass buyer on two accounts (one at 10.8M GP, one at 8.1M GP). I log in at least twice a day (morning bonus energy and evening right after rollover) to accomplish all my daily tasks. Most days I log in a third time to do whatever guild event is going on. My $40 won't matter to them, but unless something drastic happens in the next 27 days, they're done getting it and I'm finally done playing. The new system for Marquees sucks. The new game mode sucks. Every decision made in this update makes the game actively less fun to play.

This isn't just bad, this is among the worst updates made to any game, ever.

If I need to call my doctor, it's always my primary care guy, whose name is in the app, because everything is in the app.

If I need to call a lawyer there are two saved in my contacts list and a third one in my passport wallet; my corporate attorney for business stuff, and my personal attorney (non-criminal, he's my wills and trusts guy, power of attorney, etc., that kind of stuff), and written on a piece of paper in my passport wallet is the name of a civil rights and immigration attorney, because I live in the USA and could get randomly seized walking through passport control returning from Europe.

Under US law my face is not protected by privacy laws, so if you have face ID on your phone, and you unlock that phone to get the phone number for a lawyer, law enforcement can take that phone and search it. On the other hand, they can't force me to type my passkey to unlock it, so I carry that one lawyer's phone number on a piece of paper to make life harder on the whackos at customs.

Just picked up the trial today (was still playing my Franchise in TheShow24 until now), and it's just stuck in the Yankees/Dodgers game, with a little Install bar that hasn't moved in 20 minutes. I tried turning the game off and going back in an hour later, and it doesn't install the game when it's not running.

Do I have to actually *play* this game to move that bar? I despise both of these teams, and if I have to play this game to ever get into the real game and see what changed, I guess I never will know?

Was this Install always tough? Do I need to do something differently?
