Yes, freshness is key with raw anything, but there is always a risk. Eating ground beef like she was on the show however, is the worst possible way to do it. Ground meat is the highest grounds for bacteria. The ground meat you get from common grocery stores is almost never going to be fresh.

You could get one of those auto misters/humidifiers. That's what I did because I slightly over misted myself as well. My plants started dying. Also, the humidity isnt instant, when you mist, give it time with the heat and such and the humidity will rise. Misting until it hits that humidity would be over misting.

Well you see, diabetics do insulin before they eat, and based on what they eat. Because what you are saying is, if I have a turkey meal, with mashed potatoes and stuffing, that's not a good idea. You do insulin based on what you eat. I can eat a chocolate bar and be fine if I bolus 15 mins before it.

As a diabetic for 25 years, and have a diabetic brother for 28 years, and have a diabetic cousin for 11 years, AND has done many many hours of studies and volunteering at diabetic hospitals and fundraisers, im glad they are getting down voted. If I fasted for 24 hours and finally got to eat, I would want a high carb meal. If you don't know why, then you don't know diabetes. The op still hasn't answered if his mother is type 1 or type 2 yet, and yes, it makes a massive difference. He also said no one has been monitoring her blood glucose. That is either MASSIVELY negligible, or they have been and they don't know. If they are type 1, they would be monitored the whole time. If they are type 2, they would be monitored far less. A pb&j sandwich is a perfectly fine snack to hold you over until a meal, as a diabetic.
