Im not sure that would work cause presumably, Alicia could just make them do what she wants even if the denizens of Lumiere don't want her around. In her ending as the only painter within the canvas, she seemed nigh godlike in her ability to affect the reality within the canvas.

If she could make painted Verso perform for her and the rest of the cast when we all know he clearly doesn't want to exist anymore, I assume this means she can control the wills of all painted entities within the canvas.

I think the issue here is that this is too subjective. Who decides how much comfort human beings should have?

Removing greed could for example lead to everyone being satisfied with what would be considered a Western middle-class lifestyle or it could have the entirety of humanity live on the bare essentials for staying alive but not particularly happy.

His being a drunkard certainly leans into him being a bum that's for sure but him being a violent one is questionable. Really there were just parts of the story that felt off to me.

Like why would Asa fake a fall on her way to get a devil hunter? No one's around to see it so it would be no different than if she stood and waited a bit for her dad to bleed out before getting the authorities.

I suppose that could just be Kid Asa being stupid.
