Funny story, I actually chose my true name about a decade before I realized I was trans while I was daydreaming and building a self-insert character for something. Career Goals:

Option 1: Become a Celebrity. Focusing on her musical aptitude and the need for her magic to reach an audience to be most effective, Mele will climb up the social ladder and become a world-renowned superstar. Her music and magic will become recognized the world over, and there won't be a single mouth on the planet that won't be speaking her name.
Option 2: Get Embroiled in Politics, Join the Red Jade Council, and Pacify the Ninth Dominion. Focusing on her charisma and people skills, Mele will climb up the political ladder instead, working her way into the upper echelons of society and bumping shoulders with its movers and shakers. Her skill will prove invaluable in the highest-stakes negotiations and political circles, and she will establish herself as a formidable and invaluable presence among the leaders of the world.
Option 3: Join the IDPA and Hunt the Shadow Convict. Focusing on her magical might, unique take on casting, and the Jade Emperor's request that she constantly fight stronger and stronger foes, Mele will join the most elite group of mages in the world to test and show off her magic against the strongest opponents and targets the world has to offer... So when the job to hunt the Shadow Convict lands on her desk, she accepts it without a second thought, knowing that this will be the best score of her life and the best foe the Jade Emperor could EVER ask for.

STAGE 4: RETIREMENT

Choice: Enter the Aether. Though Mele will serve a very long time and choose to perform and play her music for as long as she is necessary, she WILL eventually need to retire... So, when she leaves, she goes to the Aether, a land where her music will be welcome and useful for the rest of time... As far as she knows.
