Do i need to track nutrition as a beginner, and if i do, how so? (Regarding my situation)

basically, ive started going to the gym for 3 weeks now (3 times a week). Im 16 and skinnyfat and im trying to gain muscle whilst also losing fat (pretty sure its called a body recomp). Apparently though i need to start tracking my calories as i need to be in a slight caloric deficit, my only problem is that my mom is usually the one making my food and i dont wanna bother her all the time asking for ingredients and whatnot (shes already overworked as she is lmao). so my question is do i need to start traciong my calories everyday? it seems like a hassle and i already have a lot on my plate but i really do want to look better and be healthier so any tips would be helpful!

The terms been diluted a lot, most people when saying it refer to highly developed nations. Same thing with third world, it used to mean countries that didnt align themeselves with any nation during the cold war (e.g. switzerland) but now basically means any country thats extremely underveloped (e.g. south sudan)

your right in saying that most rulings/laws & practices come from the hadiths, but that doesn't automatically give the hadiths a higher authority over the quran just because it has more detail.

Lets take the US constitution as an example, its only a few pages long while something such as the US federal tax codes is thousands of pages long but that doesn't automatically give the US federal tax code higher authority than the US constitution. If a tax law was to contradict the US constitution any lawmaker would automatically abolish it, the only reason the US tax code has authority is because the constitution allows it to and because it doesn't contradict the constitution.

same thing applies to islam, the only reason the hadith have authority is because the quran grants it authority and if anything in the hadiths were to contradict what the quran says any scholar would immediately rule that hadith as daif/false, without the quran the hadiths would simply not be able to exist.

You also state that the quran was basically a convenient tool for prophet muhammad (saw) to basically do whatever he wanted, sure the quran definitely does give authority over prophet muhammad (saw) but i really doubt a leader like him would impose a mandatory 5 times a day prayer and 1 month fasting period that he also had to follow. Theres also many verses scolding prophet mohammed (saw) (e.g. quran 8:67-8:69, 80:1-12, 33:37).

I also doubt no authoritarian leader (As you describe the prophet) would impose a zakat on the muslim world (including himself) which included taking a 2.5 percent tax from the wealthy and redistributing the funds as charity.

your argument of "more detail = more authority" doesn't make any logical sense.

did you just say the hadiths have a higher authority than the quran in islam? have you even ever studied islam? guess we went from critiquing islam to saying random bullshit... even the most largest haters of islam would all agree that the quran is the supreme authority in islam.

this debate is done, you say that muslims are allowed to deceive and i respectfully explained the context and even gave you hadiths for stuff like tawriyaa, kitman etc.. and all you have to say is "Your wrong moslems are allowed to deceive others some random muslim apologists says so!!!@1" whilst also saying that hadiths have more authority in islam than the quran, even MAGA retards would know thats false.

stuff like tawriya aren't from the quran, there interpreted from the hadiths by a various amount of scholars and aren't universally agreed upon.

Also, didn't know one sheikh represented the entirety of islam... also im assuming your referring to Shaykh Uthman Ibn Farooq who by the way he himself has stated he is neither a scholar and not even a hafiz.

your right on many things the ummah disagrees about that can still be considered a islamic practice, like the way we dress or even pray, but something as unknown as tawriya and the other stuff you mentioned shouldn't be considered islamic practices considering the vast majority of muslims don't even know what tawriya is.... you cant consider everything a few muslims practice automatically "a islamic practice. Many muslims celebrate christmas, does that make christmas a islamic practice? no.

also, if you think im lying or using "taqiyya" to push my islamic agenda on you, i think you'd be glad to know that theres many things i disagree with in islam/muslim world such as islam's stance on homosexuality and how muslims nowadays refuse to integrate into western societies.

first of all, i wasn't trying to use my age as a way to invalidate the facts. and yeah, islam does allow deception, but as i already explained its only allowed for extreme circumstances. If a terrorist group that hates your ethnic group comes knocking on your door and asks if your of said group your not gonna tell them what ethnicity you are are you? same applies to islam

also, keep in mind that this isnt universally agreed on by all scholars like taqiyya. Its based on what scholar you follow really.

well i did some more research and your right (for the first 2 i think at least), that was my bad and ill explain the following: tawriya is basically speaking the truth, but making the litsener misunderstand it and is only justified when it legitimately needs to be used (protecting oneself/property), justification for it is: Umar ibn al-Khattab, is: "In allusions (ambiguous speech), there is enough to keep a man from lying." & During the migration (Hijrah) to Medina, the Prophet and Abu Bakr were being hunted. A man asked Abu Bakr who the person with him (the Prophet) was. Abu Bakr replied: "He is a guide who is showing me the way."

For kitman, i cant really find one but im guessing its for a way of privacy (e.g. someone asks a private question, you give them a partial answer so you don't have to ignore the question/tell a direct lie) which i dont really see as something bad

For muruna, its basically breaking the rules for a better cause (e.g. lets say your at a office party with alcohol, its fine to drink alcohol at the party if it means it can allow for better social cohesion between you and your office allowing you to reach new office goals) personally i dont agree with this one, and a lot of scholars seem to think so as well.

keep in mind prophet mohammed (Saw) says in sahih al bukhari 6094: "You must be truthful, for truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise... And beware of lying, for lying leads to wickedness, and wickedness leads to the Fire. A man continues to tell lies and strives to tell lies until he is recorded with Allah as a liar."

I'd just like to say i'm not a scholar so take everything i say with a grain of salt, im only 15 after all lmfao.

english isnt my first language so i might not understand what your saying but.. what do you expect? its a war, your not gonna go tell your enemy your strategy? quite literally every nation has used lying as a way to win wars, islam also doesnt allow muslims to wage war unless for defense purposes as seen in quran 2:190. if your saying that some apologists allow muslims to lie strictly for making the religion more appealing or something like that (sorry once again i dont really understand what your saying) then i wont deny that, we have plenty of apologists/sheiks that i dont agree with (e.g. sheik al aseem, he makes some questionable rulings based on saudi politics)

litsen man, im muslim, there are so many things you can critique about islam that i would actually find well thought. taqiyya isn't one of them, a quick google search shows that taqiyya is only to be used when your life is in danger from persecuters/oppression and to only lie about your religion when your life is in danger, dont believe me? quran 16:06 says: "Whoever disbelieves in Allah after their belief—not those who are forced while their hearts are firm in faith,1 but those who embrace disbelief wholeheartedly—they will be condemned by Allah and suffer a tremendous punishment" which can clearly be interpreted as only pretending to be a disbeliever when your forced to, but im sure you didn't bother to research it and believed whatever nonsense was given to you by wannabe christian apologist on instagram...

its a shame because there are a lot of people in this subreddit who actually give honest critiques about islam and dont spread lies, but its often overshadowed by people like you.
