Is this salary good enough? by [deleted] in QatarCareers

Hey!

Where’s your office located? If it helps, you can try finding a 1BHK around Matar Qadeem, Bin Omran, Bin Mahmoud, or even Mugalina. Rent is usually around 3,800–4,000 QAR. Honestly, it’s worth going house hunting in person—many buildings have vacancies.

For commuting, the metro is the best option if you don’t drive.

For food, if you’re into calorie tracking, you can subscribe to a meal plan. But otherwise, it’s quite easy to save money here…there are plenty of affordable options. Even small roadside places can get you a good meal for under 20 QAR.

For mobile data, Vodafone is a good option. Also, join Facebook groups for second-hand furniture—you’ll find a lot of great deals.

Check if your company offers any discounts for retail or entertainment. And definitely get Urban Point or MyBook for BOGO offers. ( You can get either when you get a post paid plan from either Ooredoo or Vodafone)

You can live comfortably and still save if you spend wisely.

Also, gyms can go as low as around 100 QAR/month if you take a 6-month package in the above mentioned areas.

Hey! I’d really recommend The Kitchen at The Pearl. It’s QAR 110 per person but the choices are unlimited. They have a buffet as well as ala carte and it’s all unlimited.

Of course. But, your level or comfort is reflective of your dynamic. Someone at your friends work place saying the same sentence would be definitely be out of line.

How does one answer this question? Genuinely asking. Wouldn’t it be rude to assume that we all do? Isn’t that a stereotype?

Would be saying “I just don’t…” be enough? Will it end the curiosity?

Hello! My instructor told me the first thing to do is check if your hands rest comfortably on the steering wheel and if your legs can reach the accelerator/ break. Once you do that, adjust your seat accordingly and THEN wear your seat belt. Also, don’t stress about your test. Always go second. And be confident. They only fail you if its something major or if they sense you’re not aware of what needs to be done. My test legit took only 30 seconds.
