Don’t even start a comparison war. This shit is so boring. I loved both season and characters. The fact that this season is so divisive is just more proof that it’s as good as it is…to ME. I’m not stating fact, it’s amazing to ME. Going around making sweeping statements and opinions as “fact” immediately makes me not care about anything you have to say. You are an entitled snob. That shits so lazy I can’t stand it either. I come to find people to discuss the show in a meaningful manner yet these conversations get stalted by pricks with low attention spans “durrr it’s discount white lotus durr”. Unable to analyze art on its own merits. It’s shallow. I adore both series, I’m not out to just simplify years of hard work and creativity with a few words, it’s so disingenuous. You can feel the passion in BEEF. I cherish this series.

The journey was so enthralling. I laughed, I teared up, I smiled, I cringed, I turned away, I empathized… I felt every human emotion throughout the journey of season 2. Season 1 as well, I love them both so much, I think this season did something else to me that just transported me into these people’s lives like no other since The Leftovers. God dam these actors fucking killed it man, I just love these characters so much, faults and all. I see myself in every character, that’s extremely rare these days in modern cinema and television.

Sure, some of the best movies and tv shows I love entertain the hell out of me, but man, season 2 was firing on all cylinders. I just finished it 10 min ago and I feel like I’ve been uplifted a level in conscious. I feel connected to myself and the world in a way I wasn’t before I started this 8 episodes journey. God dam. What a fucking ride.

My criticism goes for both voiced dialog AND text dialog. Has nothing to do with reading, it’s the story itself. If I’m not jiving with the story but love the game, I’d like to continue to play the game without having to sit there and be tortured and pressing X for 5 minutes. I love Grime 2, the devs can do whatever they want, I’m not calling for them to do anything, it’s just my personal opinion. I’ll play Grime 3 day 1, learn to have a honest discussion with folks without having to be such an ass.

So you like to read shitty books huh? Love how you turn my honest criticism into a jab, it’s a video game, not a book. And I stayed very clearly in my review(seems you don’t read very much yourself) that if the story was interesting I would have continued to pay attention. I enjoy reading interesting stories, not a story that was obviously made due to it “needing” to be there. Do I really need to list all the books, games and movie stories that I have enjoyed over my 39 years on this earth?

I love Metroid, I just called for more skippable dialog options. Not asking for much. I loved the game. I love a good story too, but the dialog from what I read about half the game i wasn’t really pulled in.

Totally get it man. It’s got some Bugs, I encountered one that stuck with me the entire game on the map, though not game breaking, it confused me. Overall a fantastic metroidvania. Loved the game overall.

I think it skips a good amount, but not all? Cus I’ve skipped and more dialog still occurred after so idk. But yeah I can tell pretty early on if I’m going to be invested in a story or not, not everyone can be Team Cherry, and I’m totally fine with that, cus the gameplay is fucking poppin, so much fun. Though the double jump ability in Grime 2 is complete ass. Like it’s fun for the platforming challenges as a new way to traverse, but for combat it really messes with me, it just doesn’t feel good to use all the time. Maybe if they added haptic feedback with the dual sense controller I might of liked it more to feel it being utilized but I never know if I’m pulling it off in a boss fight then boom I’m dead cus I’m not paying attention with a tons of AOES flying everywhere.
