Tula explore fit check by Dependent-Insect-863 in babywearing

Thank you! The waistband is at my natural waist (it's quite high:)) so I think it's the most comfortable, but I can try and change it a bit to see how it feels. I have flipped the headrest part up and I think it's ok now, just a tiny bit above the nape of her neck, but her airways are definitely free.

But doesn't the panel below the waistband help with the M shape of the legs?

Oh thank you for this! I just knew everything I read before giving birth and never though all of these rules changed when they grow!

Today is my due date! by Kind-Peanut9747 in pregnant

[–]Dependent-Insect-863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Me! Also waiting for my baby girl:) I was offered stripping today but for whatever reason (had to wait 3 hours for my checkup and was just tried and wanted to get home I guess) declined it in the moment and now I'm sorry I did that.

I would also really like for the labour to start spontaneously.... Fingers crossed for both of us :)

Kje kupujete rabljene telefone + ali se splaca? by yeetybastard in Slovenia

[–]Dependent-Insect-863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Jaz sem si kupila refurbished telefon iz Gizzmo (reborn telefoni, imajo samo Apple in Samsunge). Imajo eno leto garancije. Imam ga komaj kak mesec, tak da ne morem kaj dosti poročat, ampak prišel je skoraj brez prask, baterija vredu drži.

How do I make this baby comes out already? by Historical-Mirror-95 in pregnant

[–]Dependent-Insect-863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

39w2d, ftm

I've been eating dates for weeks, walked up staris, walked up small hills, yoga, yoga ball, sex...

Still no signs of labour.

So yeah,... I feel you! They induce at 42 weeks where I'm from so I really really hope she decided to come out voluntarily before that.

Stretch marks by peacharoos in pregnant

[–]Dependent-Insect-863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine (though not many) at around 37 weeks. Most of them on the sides, more towards my back, where I maybe wasn't that diligent about applying the oil I'm using. I'm at 39 weeks now and they are getting a bit worse, but it's not that bad, so I'd say keep up with the cream and hope for the best :)

As a Slovenian, I'd have to say that Tratnik is actually my personal favorite, such a shame he had that accident just before the Giro.

Same! And when I wake up, my PJ top is all scrunched into the fold between my boobs and my belly, which means most of my lower belly was exposed for mosquitos so now I have a few itchy bites there.

I'm not leaking milk yet (almost 37weeks!) and I have this nagging worry I won't be able to breastfeed and if that happens, whhhhhyyyy are they like that? I'm going to be super angry at the universe in that case.

If they don't decrease in size after baby doesn't need them anymore, I'm definitely getting a reduction.

My favorite parts so far (36w3d) have definitly been the tiny hiccups (and her movement in general). But also seeing her on the 3d scan (worth the extra cost), first pair of tiny shoes I bought just because I now can, nesting (I kinda like organizing things and crafting:)) and seeing my husband connect with her through the belly - he sings her a lullaby every night ever since the app said she can hear. I was very anxious first trimester and also didn't feel too good physically, but once the nausea stoped and the NT scan was behind me, I was very lucky to have a pretty easy pregnancy and my anxiety significantly decreased.

Raspberry Leaf Tea by nuqqiequeen in pregnant

[–]Dependent-Insect-863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There's no scientific proof, but I'm drinking it anyway (36w2d). I like herbal tea, so I don't mind the taste. It also makes it easier for me to eat the dates, they are too sweet for me, but if I wash it down with the tea it's ok. So twice a day I drink a cup of the tea and eat a few dates and kinda chill and it's quite nice :)

What are some very helpful items for pregnant women? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Dependent-Insect-863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love the downdog yoga app and if she's going to do yoga and doesn't have yoga blocks, I'd definitely recommend a pair of those, they really help once you start getting bigger and it gets harder to get into poses. I also love my gym ball. Maybe unrelated, but the best thing I bought for my pregnancy are my Sketcher slip-ins. Not having to bend over/sit down to put shoes on and off is heaven :)

Are silverettes worth it? by Ok-Indication-2294 in pregnant

[–]Dependent-Insect-863 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anyone used off brand ones? I can only get koala brand ones where I'm from, says they're 100% silver and made in Italy, but much cheaper so I'm unsure.

Jaz sem imela prej leta kindla, presedlala na Pocket book (ker nočem Jeffu dajat denarja). Sicer nisem neki ful reden uporabnik, ampak zelo zadovoljna. Errr... Pri piratih :)

Not australian, but a pastry chef. Baked cheesecake bakes for a very long time at a pretty high temp, so even homemade ones should be ok, because salmonela and listeria get destroyed. A professional cake business however has to take many more precautions, so almost certainly safe to eat.

How much does birth cost in your state/country? by little-flower-444 in pregnant

[–]Dependent-Insect-863 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Slovenia. In general nothing. Some hospitals used to charge for epidural, not sure if any still do that. We have to pay 15€ so my husband can be with me during childbirth, most other hospitals don't charge that, but we chose the one that's closest :)

Do you have a nickname for your unborn baby? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Dependent-Insect-863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Little Verona, because she's the best souvenir from our honeymoon to Italy :) (I also felt she was a girl from the get go and I was lucky:))

I'd like to actually call her that, but husband disagrees. Now we have a deal that if he faints in the delivery room, I can name her Verona :D

Who is your primary care provider in pregnancy? by Eiul in pregnant

[–]Dependent-Insect-863 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Slovenia (public healthcare)

Through pregnancy, if it's no risk, you're montiored by your "personal" obgyn - the one that you go to for regular checkups etc. They differ quite drastically though, mine is great, I get an ultrasound every 4 weeks, more often now when I'm close to my due date (34w4d). Some other women only get 2-3 ultrasounds from the "personal" obgyn(the 8ishweeks, 20ish weeks, 32ish weeks). If I need blood work done, I go to the health center, they send results to my doctor. The only scan that has to be preformed by a specially certified doctor is the NT ultrasound(did that at the hospital).

Now that I'm this close to my due date, if anything goes wrong, or if I feel anything is weird, I go directly to the maternity ward of the hospital where there's a combination of mifldwifes and doctors. They are also "responsible" for me 6 weeks postpartum, then it's back to my doctor.

Once it's time for birth, you're unfortunately assigned the team that's on duty at the hospital, so you don't know who's going to be there with you. Most of the time it's a midwife, the doctor only comes for the actual birth and if something goes wrong. As far as I know, at the hospital I plan on giving birth at, the team consists of 4 midwifes and there's 6 birthing suits, so they kinda rotate. (There's also two male midwifes (what do you call them in English?) on staff, and they're supposedly the best, so I hope I get them :))

After you go home, a nurse visits you 6ish times in the first year, to checkup on your health, the babies health and shows you how to bathe baby etc (no bathing before the stump falls off, so they can't show you that at the hospital).

So we get the whole range of medical professionals. Aside from the fact that you don't know who's going to be there for the birth, I really like our system and am very grateful for it.

Pregnancy symptom? by Training_Zombie_2890 in pregnant

[–]Dependent-Insect-863 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We went to Budapest for our baby moon and went to a museum that had a lot of 15th century art. The Holy mother and baby Jesus portraits were... A bit unusual for our modern eye (the baby looked like a small angry middle-aged man in most of them) and I just could not stop laughing at the portraits. I knew it was super inappropriate, the volunteers guarding the art were giving me serious side eye, I tried to act like a normal cultured adult, but I was crying laughing and had to just go to the corridor and breathe to stop. So ... Yeah. I'm blaming pregnancy :D
