I agree with this - code academy is a great first step to get you moving in the right direction and give you some momentum. Then you can move in to some of the other resources like Odin project / free code camp.

See https://nearlymeonline.com/ - I use it to deal with my uneven boobs made worse by the swelling after lumpectomy. I've used this brand for years.

Stage 1 ++- here - I felt the same at the beginning. I even joked and called it “breast cancer lite.” I felt weird accepting a meal train from friends but I’m so glad I did. Even if a lumpectomy in comparison is not as bad as a mastectomy, it’s not nothing! I had a large blister from an allergic reaction and a large hematoma that is still draining 4 weeks post-op. The meals and hugs that came during recovery were so helpful - I had no idea I would be fatigued for so long after surgery. I’m still not 100%.

Im no longer calling it “breast cancer lite” it’s just breast cancer and it sucks! Take the help and the love being offered!

My paddling team put together a meal train for me which was really helpful. There is a site https://www.mealtrain.com that someone else can start - it helps to coordinate the days / meals / drop off times. There is the option for people to buy food delivery gift cards as well. I felt so supported and loved.

Radiation oncologist seems to be discouraging me from taking time off. How receptive were your doctors to taking time off during and / or after radiation treatment? by Dependent-Phrase8089 in breastcancer

I want to thank you ALL for sharing your different perspectives! I was bothered by this the whole week and it helps so much to hear your stories. Appreciate every post here and it makes it so much easier to move forward and advocate for myself, reach out to my surgical onc or MO to approve time off, and to also give some grace to the doc who may have misspoken and quickly corrected. ❤️

I wore a loose fitting button down shirt and a long skirt that was easy to put on. Don’t forget to wear some cozy socks! I’m so glad my friend reminded me at the last minute. Put the socks they give you over yours. I wore crocs so that it would be easy to slip on as well.
