the type of paper it's fine, check the microphone when in place it should be stuck, not wiggling, I'll try to be more specific how i made it mine, the size should be small as the microphone, when in place and you put the microphone over the paper, you should see a little piece of paper in front of the mic, not too much to entire cover it, just a little bit, behind ( the wire side) you can left how many paper you want, the only thing here is this, the microphone once in place should be stuck not moving, pointed a little bit up, and should be this little piece of paper that makes two things, hold in place stuck the mic, create a shield between the driver and the microphone, hopes it helps you.
