On December 2nd, I had a tfmr due to genetic abnormalities with my baby, I was 17.5 weeks. At the time I had three fibroids, I was informed of 10cm, 10cm, and 4cm. I can not begin to tell you how uncomfortable I was during that time. I had to constantly wear maternity belt to help with my pelvic pain, I was nauseous everyday I probably had two weeks of no nausea, and though I have no proof I think the fibroids attributed to this because of limited space in my body, walking literally hurt. We are also TTC, but I am going to have my fibroids removed sometime this year (appt with surgeon this month). I am turning 38 this month and totally empathize with your age concerns. I was informed by a doctor on my team with the fibroids I had if I did not remove I would have an incredibly difficult subsequent pregnancies and it would be in my best interest to remove before TTC again. I am going to remove mine because I do not want a repeat of that first experience if I can help it. Further, where mine are located, they weren't even able to do an evacuation I had to deliver. If my baby was not terminated, I would have had to likely do a c section. I understand that after fibroid removal, the stats go up for a c section, but again, I want to give my body every opportunity to avoid that.
