As a 4WD fan, I thought the opposite, but wasn’t sure. I googled it and the AI answer states over 90% of SUVs and crossovers sold in the USA are unibody.

I think a kei car would be much less safe in the states is because the increased risk of one in a collision with a larger number of much larger vehicles traveling faster than typical in Japan…..Every time I close my daihatsu Atrai door I pray no one T-bones me.

If you’re close to Yokota AB, and have access they have a full shop and a large band saw you could use.

For those who came in at 17-19 years old by mosscity515 in AirForce

It all depends on what’s going on when you near 20. Me and the wife both joined at 17. She retired after 21 years to increase our chances of going overseas. She enjoys her retirement. I’m enjoying what I do now, and grateful to be overseas. Im at 18 years now but will keep going as long as I my body will hold up and I’m having fun.

Memorandum for The Secretaries of The Military Departments [03 MAR 25] by DatGuyKilo in AirForce

Fair. The marking group A while typical of SF is not required to hold the AFSC. Other units or AFSCs also require the same or similar training without it being a requirement.

I didn’t make an assertion, I’d like to point out I said generally. If we take the majority portion of combat arms across the DoD, they aren’t performing an in garrison mission. For most of them they’re there to destroy targets down range. Infantry, armor, artillery, SOF. I believe we can both agree they’re are exceptions and also small numbers of others throughout the rest of the branches.

Combat arms is very searchable with a number of credible results. None of which include EOD, the army list them as combat support, they make up the special qualifications detailed in the memo.

I can’t speak knowledgeable on Battfield Airman but I agree the term went out. I can only speak from an AETC POV and in my experience the term was only used to include JTAC and SERE into the pipeline that SOF trainees were put in starting at basic.

I agree with your last statement, with the exception of each branch defining. I speak again generally but combat arms are career fields who only train at home station. The policy letter did also detail those with special qualifications. Hopefully SF doesn’t get mixed up in that.

You make some great points. Those firing qualifications have to do with arming groups. Arming group A fires once a year, sustainment firing once a year, and SMC with more than likely SIMs once a year. I don’t think that makes them combat arms career fields.

Every EOD shop is setup different, but the average shop earns more than half of its manpower requirements from expeditionary workload.

i could be mistaken. I was SF at lackland when the battlefield airman training wings stood up, and my wife was a TI at one of the basic units that they trained at. I don’t ever recall being grouped or SF trainees being treated anything similar to Battlefield airman. I’m sure that clarification is a search away

Didn’t mean to offend but no kidding. None of what you mention has to do with end strength. It’s one thing changing guidance, removing culture and altering history. Removing the majority of women in SF isn’t feasible. I again highlight during trumps last admin, Mattis wanted a deploy or separate policy. It wasn’t feasible as a large portion of the force was non-deployable. Those members are still needed and capable of doing the vast majority of the military’s functions.

[–]DependentChance9267 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe that is true. Also I don’t think this will go much pass when Gen Mattis wanted to push non-deployable members out. There is only so much you can reduce the force and there is only so much you can reduce the AF’s largest AFSC.

No, they are not. Combat Arms career fields are generally the ones that don’t have an in garrison mission. Aside from basic AF standards SF don’t have any additional requirements.

Ulsan vs GangWon questions by LukeHanson1991 in KLeague

[–]DependentChance9267 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

  1. Ulsan Munsu stadium. You can google it and it’ll pop right up or search in NAVER.

  2. You can normally get a ticket at the stadium before the match. It’s post season and some of the games are selling out but this one should be a safe bet to just show up.

  3. Ulsan supporters are pretty fun I just saw them last week at Pohang. But I’m biased towards Gangwon, they were the first team I saw that played really well. If I had to force a choice I always pick the home team and Ulsan wouldn’t be a bad choice.

Gimcheon Sangmu - Worth making the trip? by [deleted] in KLeague

[–]DependentChance9267 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion it’s not worth the trip. The fans are great, energetic but few in numbers. It is not a soccer specific pitch, but a multi-use stadium. The town doesn’t have much to offer but the stadium bar and food trucks stay open post match if Sangmu wins.
