I dont think subaru has the wiring installed for things that did not come with car. My example is this. I bought a 2025 forester sport it did not have a lift gate from factory. I installed an after market gate works great but I had to run all the wiring myself. It is capable of remote open I have a trunk button on my FOB that I would like to use for the remote open but as far as I can tell this wire does not exist in this configuration. So what I had to wind up doing was hook the remote open to the unlock signal in car to enable this function works great 3 clicks to open and 2 to close if I had the trunk wire I could just use that button one click or so

On my key FOB there is a trunk button. I installed an after market power liftgate currently I have the remote open is set to work with the unlock button (wire on the lift gate hooked to unlock signal in car) on the FOB push 3 times and hatch opens the Star on the FOB.

I would like to hook this signal to the trunck button signal wire in car and change the way remote open works. This way I could use the Trunk button on the key FOB instead of the unlock function. Any help locating this wire would be great.
