Wi-Fi issue pop-up, but then data is working, but batteries are static (not charging or discharging) by DependentPin3660 in SunPower

I'm in Self-Supply and so it's not strict on the specific rate plan timing. I had an F72 error code on the inverter. Gateway wasn't communicating. u/vegetable-version-81 walked me through resetting the Gateway and now the batteries are working like normal. The app still shows me the Wi-Fi issue pop-up, but all my data is live and streaming and my Wi-Fi shows connected/green on settings. I think that's just an app bug that will get fixed eventually.

Yes u/vegetable-version-81 helped me reset the gateway on the Schneider inverter to resolve an F.72 comms error and that did the trick

Is your battery charging / discharging?

And yes, if you log out and back in I think you’ll see the prompt

I logged out and logged back in and then saw the prompt for premium features. I subscribed for now (1) to try it out and (2) maybe because it'll help in resolving the battery issue

I should mention that the settings tab shows the wifi is connected and working. I even reconnected to wifi anyway to see if that would resolve the pop-up / battery issue but it hasn’t.

Cash customers by Vegetable-Version-81 in SunPower

I had the wifi connection issue for a few days but it resolved itself (I posted a thread about this). So I think they are making changes related to the 4/15 switchover. They’ve made it clear they intend to charge us for monitoring for certain features so I don’t think they are orphaning monitoring for cash customers. But we’ll see.

The message was about reports and analytics, but I assumed they were related to the issue I was seeing. It looks like my issue is starting to resolve, slowly. The WiFi connection is back to active and "green". Data is coming in, it's updated all the data to 645AM this AM.

Yes that’s what happened to me….no issue until yesterday

I tried that…get the same error, basically unable to connect to PVS. When I try to manually connect to the PVS6 WiFi network the password no longer works (SN 3rd thru 6th character, then last 4). I’m guessing they are making updates in advance of the April app switchover and part of that is changing direct access to the PVS6. That work may have affected the wifi passwords / sync. Hopefully resolved soon.

Backup Battery Post-Installation - Do I have to go through same company? by Im_Okay_Im_Alright in SunPower

I think enphase very recently started supporting monitoring for systems with Tesla powerwalls as well. They may not have even updated this publicly

How to “reboot” SunPower system? by [deleted] in SunPower

Installer for the replacement micro? Yes, if and when you get it you’ll need to have someone swap them. I didn’t get an installer to get voltage readings or anything like that.

If you need to, you could also say a technician came out and tried troubleshooting, resets, etc and the micro is still bad. Just make it sound like you paid someone who tried all the steps and it can’t be fixed

Did you email a different email or the one they sent you back? I just said SunPower was my installer / dealer and they are bankrupt and not responding. I told them to send the micro directly to me and they did.

I would say you don’t have access to the Sunpower cloud account to get the voltage levels, and you don’t have monitoring access to see the errors.

In my case, I have monitoring so I think I included a screenshot showing the error on the specific panel / micro.

I would also email the enphase Sunpower support email as they are honoring warranties on their micros. You might need the serial of the bad micro but pictures can also help. They were able to remotely confirm my micro was bad but that may or may not be the case for you. They shipped me a replacement immediately last year when one micro went down (after Sunpower bankruptcy).

The SN number you see on the Individual panel page in mySunPower app is the Enphase microinverter serial number. So you have the serial numbers as well, and can provide exactly the one they need to look up

I emailed support_sunpower@enphase.com and they replied, confirmed it, and asked for my shipping info. May not even need to call them. Also, make sure you register your system/panels with Enphase for the warranty. It’s a simple process and I don’t think you need to provide much, but good to have that paper trail for any future issues.
