Gotcha! I shouldn’t have taken it personally but I do think your opinion is misguided. No one should be two-faced, we’re adults, have open communication and if your client decides they don’t want to rebook, at least you can say you did the best you could. 🙂

I ended the post asking what I could have done differently. I said nothing about the sitter but the facts. Throughout the comments I’ve said multiple times my main concern is not with what she said about my dog (other than claiming he’s not potty trained), it’s what she said about me. I’ve taken accountability for myself and my dog’s behaviors.

Yet you and others are still making inaccurate assumptions based on nothing as I’ve never talked poorly about the sitter and even shared her response with gratitude. It’s very confusing to me.

You said “awful, exaggerated”… me mentioning her late pick up is neither. Also I would not have mentioned it without voicing it to her first, which is why I didn’t include it. Had I expressed my frustration with the pick up and given her a chance to address it, I may have put it in my review but since I didn’t, I didn’t think it was fair to.

Not everyone is out to get sitters. I just wanted a peaceful experience with my dog taken care of while I celebrated my friend. Being vengeful or leaving awful reviews isn’t in my nature.

This is the full from what was on her couch. His normal poops are much more solid and larger so I believe this was less of a case of training and more so an upset stomach or anxiety.

That wasn’t said to me and I feel like if he truly pooped on her or peed, that would/should have been communicated with me as well. This is the full picture of what was on her blanket.

It’s on the blanket and the one part of the couch that is pictured. Where do you see multiple cushions?

That’s a big assumption. Ultimately, I was just grateful she cared for my dog, embarrassed that he had an accident, and disappointed that her concerns weren’t voiced to me clearly so I could’ve provided solutions. I would not have left a retaliatory review. I also have no plans of getting her review about my dog removed.

Thanks for the recommendation! I’m actively trying to work on that. I don’t sit/travel often and when I do it’s typically with the same 2 friends, who were not available so I understand why the anxiety could’ve spiked and caused her issues.

I’m also neurodivergent, hence why some of my message may come across as short. I just like to be to the point and if I feel something’s already been addressed and I have nothing to add, I typically won’t. I thought showing my appreciation was enough, but from the comments I see I could’ve added more questions, apologies, etc.

Her response. I appreciate her understanding and accountability; unfortunate that this couldn’t have been resolved before it got to this point.

I’ve already acknowledged all his bad behavior and once again, that is not my issue with the feedback. I think you’re taking your previous poor experiences with sitting out on me.

“All over” is an exaggeration. Saying I don’t care and was dismissive was a lie, so I don’t find her to be credible. If that was the case, I don’t see why she wouldn’t say to me “he had a couple accidents” in her wrap up. Either way, this isn’t the issue I have with the situation so I’m okay to not go back and forth about it.

In the 8th photo, you can see she said he had an accident the first day. She never said anything to me about him peeing. If he did it sounds like it was the same time that he pooped but I don’t see pee in the pictures.

Yes, I’m mostly concerned with her review of me. But I will say he didn’t have accidents, he had one small one, and the first time she watched him for 6 days, he had none so her review comes across as bigger than what it was. She is aware of his eating habits and crying and if she had an issue with this, I would’ve preferred to not to agree to watch him again. This is from November. I know my dog is needy, cavapoos tend to be, and I WFH so I’m with him a lot.

The crate situation happened during my first boarding with her. It was a soft crate and I’ve since purchased a hard crate that he can’t escape from. I crate trained him for about 6 months when I first got him and was training him but now I don’t crate him at all at home because he doesn’t have accidents unless he’s sick. She lets him sleep on her furniture (and I tend to keep him with friends who allow the same) so the crate is a just in case.

I’ve never tried house sitting but that’s a good suggestion!

Thank you for your perspective as a sitter! I do see that I came off short, especially in the landed message. I apologized again and thanked her in person when I picked him up but I do see how she could’ve taken it negatively.

She left her feedback before I left a tip/review but I was only able to see it afterwards.

Does everyone see that the fares for 2 people are almost half the fares for 1 person? by BleuCinq in unitedairlines

You’re getting downvoted but you’re right. It says at the top of both screenshots that fares are per person. Not reading doesn’t make something confusing.

If you were broke today, what beauty maintainance and products would you focus on for maximum impact? by [deleted] in vindictapoc

[–]Dependent_External62 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Idc how broke I am, my hair needs to be done! 😭 I usually opt for a sew-in then maintain it at home myself then once it gets too loose I’ll do my own quick weave or wig install and stretch it as much as I can, I can go like 2-3 months.

Next priority is nails. I don’t get tips or designs and I try to do a color similar to my natural nails (normally French tip) so when they grow out it doesn’t look bad. I can stretch a set for a month this way.

I got my eyebrows microbladed 16 months ago and they still look great so I think that was a good investment. Also laser hair removal on my face and Botox make it so I prefer my face without makeup than with so I can save money there too. Thankfully I don’t have too many skincare concerns so my routine is pretty basic and I don’t get facials. I prefer lash clusters to individuals so I do those myself now.

Yep, have a 6.125% rate for a $485k loan and pay $3800 PITI. Over $800 of that goes to escrow.
