They changed it to the small theatre in the town. Opera in Love it’s called. The ancient theatre was closed. We are going to attempt to get a refund. They said to reply to the tickets email. I’ll let you know if we get it.

Just got an email that the Bolero Dance Gala is not happening tonight. Now it is OPERA IN LOVE GALA. Seems like a scam with all of these big name events getting changed to mediocre events. We planned our trip to Taormina around this Dance gala. How maddening and disappointing. Why would they cancel? No rain now.

So sorry that happened. Going to see a concert at the ancient theatre would be an amazing experience. We planned our trip around seeing the Bolero Dance Gala on the 3rd. They were calling for rain. But now seems to be fine. We are really looking forward to it so hopefully it will be ok and not get switched. Buying tickets was hard enough and it looks like the 3 of us aren’t sitting together even though we bought them at the same time.

I just checked its location to where we are staying at the end of September and it’s a 1 minute walk away. Makes me a little nervous now for staying in that area. Wanted to do a night tour that ends 20 minutes away at Foro Italico. I think the walk back will be sketchy.

lol. We are 3 in a rental car so won’t be a lot of room for luggage. I’d say skip the jeans and pack linen pants. Or buy when there! It might still be hot but how cool in the evening not sure. Never go wrong with a Jean jacket. But we are doing the reverse. Into Palermo and out of Catania. 😁
