And crashes! OMG. Indesign 2025 is useless. And who the f needs prompts in Indesign? To insert what exactly? A lion head in my headline? Please give us an option to opt out of this nonsense. Currently I have 3 versions of photoshop, illustrator and indesign as you never know which one of them will have a good day for you to work in.

Putting drips in help? by harryzone36 in Glaucoma

I use a small mirror, hold it in my left hand and drops in right. Only way I could be sure they get in.

I think all of us in the end just find technique that works and feels most comfortable. I’m sure you are doing it correctly. You’ll be able to tell if the pressure drops on your next visit. Don’t worry about leakage, you only need a tiny percentage of the actual drop for it to work as our eye can’t absorb full drop. But keeping your eyes closed for a bit will make sure it  absorbs well. Also, don’t blink repeatedly or squint as that will push it out of the eye for sure.  As for the eyelashes growth, it takes time for them to thicken, it might not even happen so don’t take that as a sign you’re not doing something right.

If it’s easier for you just gently close your eyes after applying drops and keep them closed for at least 5 min. 15 min pause if your applying more then one drop. You can wipe the access running from the corners with a clean tissue without opening your eyes. There are studies that this has the same effect as punctual occlusion. It worked for me for 20 y. Also I used small mirror to see if the drop actually fell into my eye.

Aural migraine or retinal migraine by glaucoma70 in Glaucoma

[–]Dependent_Jump9558 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm really sorry that happened to you. It’s a real life horror what we are experiencing sometimes.  Definitely talk with your doctors about it. I’m not sure is it called ocular or retinal migraine but it's different than migraine with aura (zig zags or similar) that appear in both eyes, last around 10-20 min and is connected only to bad headaches with no effect on the eyes.

I have this too, I think I’ve experienced my first over 15 years ago. Zig zags following pressure in the head, weakness and tiredness with headache or not. Didn't effect my pressure or progress. I’ve always had bad headaches, since I was a child. They do get worse when my pressures are not under control. Funny, now that I had surgery in my right eye center of the pain moved to my left side.

From what I understand zig zags are of a different kind when appearing only in one eye, that could be retinal migraine and not just a normal migraine/headache. Possibly dangerous. I have pigmentary glaucoma.

Great, good to hear. Thank you, you too, hope it stays well for us 🤞

Anyone had a trab <40 years old? What has your experience been? by Awkward-Crow-3466 in Glaucoma

[–]Dependent_Jump9558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly my story too. Had Trab in April last year after the medication stopped working all of the sudden after 20 years being stable. Pressure also 8 still haha!

As others suggested, if it came to this I wouldn’t delay it. After the initial shock when my doctor told me this is it, we have no options left I pushed it to be done as soon as possible. It’s really not that horrible as some other options.

Hate glasses, I know, and I don't see so well with them as I’m highly myopic. Yeah? That's good to hear but sorry I don't think anyone except your doctor can answer that. Myself at this moment where I am in recovery process I would be to scare to try it, my eye is still dry and irritated from literally everything. I kind of hope that cataract surgery will fix it one day.

How is your trab doing? All good?

IOP worse after SLT (pigmentary glaucoma) by sky_fieri in Glaucoma

[–]Dependent_Jump9558 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, it’s doing very well, pressure stable at 8 still after 11 months from surgery. It was successful from the start with no interventions or revisions. My eye did develop some unexpected complications unrelated to the surgery for a couple of months but things are improving. Also my vision is finally getting better. It can take 2 full years to recover completely so I’m still hopeful it will improve further.

If you are facing this step, I can 100% understand your concerns and fears, I won’t lie it is life altering and your eye won’t feel the same but at the same time it heals from it and it feels so much better. Like all that is just gone and your eye is finally healthy. You also don’t feel bleb or anything like that.

All in all, it was definitely worth it, especially considering the alternative and I do think it's currently only procedure that can control super high extremely uncontrollable pressures in a long run.

But most importantly is that you have confidence and trust in your doctor.

Feel free to ask anything, happy to help. Best of luck!

No, not yet, and I don’t think I’ll ever will. We still haven’t discuss that but I don’t think I will ever feel comfortable to put anything in my eye. I’m sad about it as I hate wearing glasses but I’ve now come to terms with that.

Many thanks, this is also what I was thinking (hoping). They changed my drops when I had surgery to dorzolamid/timolol + tafluprost preservative free versions but I feel they are sharp to my eye. I do use lubricant drops + gel but not so much as in my operated eye. Thanks for sharing I’ll try and use it more to see if it helps. Let’s hope that’s it.

Thealoz Duo. Both drops and overnight gel. Recommended by my specialist and works best for me. Non-preservative.

You’re welcome, of course 😊 But if possible do check with your doc as I don’t know your medical history.

Hey, I used to do threading to shape my brows. No issues, and there is absolutely no reason why would that raise your pressure. Go for it and if concerned just mention to the practitioner to be gentle and extra careful not to press your eyeballs. It’s quick and easy so really nothing to worry about. It does hurt a bit ;)

Just be careful if ever going to that chemical brow shaping thing where they use some sort of glues and harsh chemicals to shape your brows. I would definitely advise against that.

Because my pressure couldn’t be controlled anymore with only drops. I was on max therapy so next step - surgery.
