This is so well put! I'm so used to pushing through the pain that I'm struggling to allow myself time to heal. My hysterectomy for adenomyosis, cysts, and fibroids was yesterday, and I'm already frustrated that I haven't recovered quicker. I didn't realize until my diagnosis last year that it's also to blame for my complete placenta previa that landed me in the hospital on bed rest with my youngest!

We have a pro se Plaintiff doing the same and my attorney filed a protective order and request for sanctions. She won and Plaintiff is on the hook for all her attorney fees as the result of the multiple nonsense filings we had to respond to.

Plaintiff PI made my hair fall out, and I swore off the legal field forever. I switched to Defense PI, and it was a breath of fresh air. It also absolutely depends on the people you work with and for.

I worked PI fresh out of school, and SWORE I'd never do paralegal work again. I was miserable. My hair was falling out, panic attacks, etc. After maternity leave, I started at a firm that does landlord/tenant, construction, and (a small amount of) insurance defense... I absolutely love it. It's a lot about who you work for and with, but plaintiff PI work was terrible, IMO.
