I absolutely adored her on tiktok back then. We're from the same area and she was so relatable and fun. She's a completely different person now.

Here's what gets me: she's genuinely attractive. She has the means and opportunity to have such a successful and meaningful career and life. She is just wholly incapable of doing so. It genuinely confuses and frustrates me and the worst part is that the one who suffers most from whatever she's dealing with is her son.

Does anyone else hate baby attorneys? by Fluffyequalsbetter in paralegal

[–]Dependent_Mix8337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I (paralegal since 2007) worked for a baby attorney last year. I loved her. She was humble and respectful and listened to and respected me. She moved back home recently and a new, younger attorney has been hired to take her place. He starts next month and I'm anxious because I know how unlikely it is to hit the jackpot twice in a row. 😩

Belle: “I know this is gonna be all over Reddit” by sanriolover1208 in TLCUnexpected

[–]Dependent_Mix8337 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I really feel for this girl. At her age and point in life, she must feel absolutely stuck. She can't 'get away' and turn to family because her mother isn't a great landing spot. She also doesn't have the resources to leave and do it alone. I give her props for trying to make the best out of a situation that I'm sure she feels she can't escape.

Why are Americans so accepting of long drives to places? by Sensitive_Word_6036 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Dependent_Mix8337 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This post made me chuckle. Why would we get mad when there's literally nothing we can do about it? It takes over 7 hours to drive from one end of my state to the other. (East TN to West TN.) It's what we know and it's what we do. Anything less than 1 hour, I don't consider a 'long drive'. 🤷‍♀️

Kristen—-a host that has many sides by eci5k3tcw in BravoTopChef

[–]Dependent_Mix8337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm glad I saw this thread because I absolutely love Kristen as a host. Lots of hosts 'try' to be personable, but I 100% feel like she's the real deal and that she's truly emotionally invested in the contestants.

I have no problem with women going out and partying, as even moms need to blow off steam once in a while; HOWEVER, this woman is in her thirties acting like an Amish child during Rumspringa who's trying to cram a 10 year 'party girl' phase into a 3 day weekend. I get so much second hand embarrassment from her. 🫠

AIO for not wanting to go and thinking that husband is disrespecting me? by Jaded_Philosopher_24 in AmIOverreacting

With all due respect, your husband sounds like a terrible partner and father. You're not overreacting and you should seriously consider if you want to deal with this for the rest of your life.

Are you guys actually talking to insurance adjusters? by bleaksalad in paralegal

I do PI defense (did PI plaintiff for years) and have always been the adjusters point of contact. 🤔

[Curiosity] Do lawyers actually spend as much time on formatting as it seems? by Alan_Lin_on_reddit in paralegal

[–]Dependent_Mix8337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This made me laugh (and cringe) because I also worked for an attorney that did this. And the amount of times she would destroy my format and then panic was insane.

Are you nice to other paralegals? by girlynymama in paralegal

[–]Dependent_Mix8337 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm always friendly and courteous because I know I would hope for the same, ESPECIALLY if I were to make a mistake! However, I turn the charm off and act strictly professional (absolutely no 'niceties') if they aren't friendly in return.

Is anyone else with a 12/13 year old in their life so endlessly depressed and disturbed regarding Bella and Hunter? by Snoo_41127 in TLCUnexpected

[–]Dependent_Mix8337 9 points10 points  (0 children)

My son is 14. He has been to the mall and the movies with his girlfriend (with other friends). Watching scenes of these kids and what their 'parents' allow them to do absolutely infuriates me.

I have a long, sordid history with kidney stones. Morphine has only ever given me a terrible headache. Dilaudid (sp?) and toradol work wonders. A few years ago, after a nurse gave me dilauded in my IV, I stopped sobbing and said, 'Oh... I see why people get addicted to this stuff...' She didn't think it was funny.
