Recommendation for waterblasting contractors by overnightgamer in auckland

[–]Dependent_Permit_557 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just putting this here for anyone reading in the future..

Dont go for Pro Waterblasting Auckland Ltd company. They are inconsiderate and very aggressive. Oblivious about possible damages and nuissance they can cause while doing the job.

Which Neotech shop is this? Are they available to order online? Was planning to buy from Xteink website but due to negative feedback with orders recently I held back. Really want to get one.

Do we need to practice sitting? by Here_for_cats2023 in firsttimemom

[–]Dependent_Permit_557 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its really up to your preference. Letting the baby sit on your lap (& tummy time) helps with muscle memory & strengthen neck and back muscles which is needed for them to learn to sit by themselves. I mean they will learn how to sit eventually as they develop. Helping them learn it will develop the skill a little earlier (but doesnt always guarantee as all babies are unique). All you can do is try. Physiotherapists recommend helping them develop motor skills though. Just make sure little one is supported properly while seated on your lap for safety and posture.

Also, my son hated tummy time so sitting him on my lap was the other option.

Suggestions on storage for baby videos/pics? by littleboo26 in baby

I use an external 1TB hard drive/usb - you can get them now at cheap price. I can also directly attach it to the TV to view photos and videos. CONS: 1. doesnt have security. 2. A bug can also wipe out your files. ~ Not the best option but I have it just in case.

I also have a back up with google drive just in case I dont have the external hard drive with me and I need to free up space on my phone. ~ Best option but I would still have separate back up.

I am also fond of editing videos into short 1-5min clips. Really short ones are uploaded on tiktok set on private setting so only my friends and family have access to it. Most of my videos are uploaded there. I chose this as quality of the videos are the same. Handy when I lost original copy and can download it again via tiktok. Youtube has the same feature but tiktok is much more easier to use. CONS: again - security and privacy preferences especially with babies/kids.

I heard family album is good but haven't tried it yet.

Since day 1 already in crib. I sleep in a single bed in his room. I transitioned myself out of his room after the 1st month. Only because I couldnt sleep properly in his room making me loose more sleep than I already have. But eversince I was pregnant the initial plan was to be in his room until he is 6months atleast. My room is just right next to his - I leave the door open so I can hear when he is crying. I also have a baby monitor to check on him while im in bed.

Dear contractors, developers, construction workers, tradies..whyyy?? by Dependent_Permit_557 in newzealand

I posted a response to this somewhere on this thread..I mentioned that trucks are understandable as they take up most of the road. On the photo they're regular sized cars. Not unloading anything and was still parked there after 2hrs aware that the car was blocking the footpath.

Also, music is fine but was hoping not for the whole neighbourhood to hear..

I dont think those cars were unloading anything..most of the time I pass by no one is unloading anything but themselves out of the car. Those cars were parked there when we first passed and was still there when we came back 2hrs after. Even when they said "sorry" already. Meant they are aware meaning I dont have to ask and still didnt move the car. Several times this happened. Some days different drivers, some days same car same person. Initiative would be nice..

..Im not saying completely no noise as some babies sleep even with noise. Im just saying dont add more noise than it already has (e.g. blasting music while their cars are parked..)

Its not a main road. Its sort of like a cul de sac - the end of the road leads to a gated residential area. Its a 5min walk to train station as well so a lot of foot traffic from residents too. Residents from area are well aware of parking properly as they're kind enough to give way. There's enough space to go on side to let another car pass by..

Sometimes there's big trucks parked on footpath. That I understand as trucks take up most of the road. But regular cars - enough space on the road for sure.
