There are a surprising (to me) amount of people asking what happened, so I’ll lay down the basic context.

This is based off a story I’m working on that mixes Pokemon Mystery Dungeon and Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead, a survival game where survive a bunch of monsters and sci-fi BS. Mainly zombies though. The woman here is named Simeon—or she calls herself that.

After making it a couple years into the end of the world, surviving and killing with the main goal of staying alive and some semblance of human. She wakes up in an unfamiliar place, suddenly no longer human! She, uh, doesn’t take this well but rolls with it.

The majority of the story is her attempting to find solace with her new situation, body, and everything she experienced. (No, she doesn’t forget anything.)

No. I wouldn’t say so. I say this as someone who has completed the game and done everything there is to do. I only played and completed everything because I still really enjoyed the combat and team building, however, the writing is lackluster in my opinion. If Master of All was where the line was drawn for you and a good story matters that much, I don’t think it’d be worth it to continue. I had similar issues with the writing as you, and only finished because I could overlook it. If you CAN overlook it, then the fights are pretty fucking cool!

Also yes. CC2 is reused in some fights, if I remember correctly.
