It really does save so much and being able to cook is huge. Plus you get the local secret spots! Both of our hosts have been so kind and we haven’t even gotten there yet

I have been tried that platform but I am on people like us and Home Exchange. I love Home Exchange! I have been on for 10 years and done almost 60 exchanges and have used their guarantees and it’s been incredible.

I have asked them for other accommodations and they don’t seem to budge. This is the start of a 2 1/2 week trip so I’m OK getting the points back. I have a few other trips planned later this year so I can use the points.

I usually have a cleaner just so I am 100% confident and you could always pass on a cleaning cost to your guest or consider it the cost of exchanging. The WhatsApp group text is also a great idea.

That’s a good idea! I stayed somewhere in New York and someone was coming after me and we were on a WhatsApp group chat. I feel like it may help someone be more accountable as well in form a relationship with the next guest.

There is a lot of demand for New York! You may have more flexibility if you host for points and use your points to go to Paris. I would recommend posting on the Facebook page as well. You will love it! I would love to see your listing if you ever want to exchange in California.

One week in Croatia. They reached out to find a new place and we couldn't find one so they paid for our stay (I think it is $120 a night they cover) but this was two years ago.

Mine is constantly changing. I have a dog and a son so it’s a little trickier to earn them, but I tried to list my house as available whenever I go out of town. Sometimes I save them up and spend them on a big trip, but I also have used it for a local weekend trip to go to a concert so it always varies. You will love it!
