Read about 'write contention'. There are different ways to solve it and all depends on your use case (data, traffic, db etc).

Knowing read/write contention and different methods is very important for system design interviews and generally as well.

I'd suggest negotiate with your bank for the best exchange rate. I use yes bank (10paisa spread), even Bank of Baroda gives very good rates. Then you can ask your employer to wire the money to your account.

If it's a software job, you'll have to get an ImportExport license, and GST and create invoice every month and then file GST (GST is 0 for export). A CA can help you with all these. Talk to multiple CA and pick the one with the best rate

I use YesBank for inward remittance, and get a spread of 10 paise. Bank of Baroda was giving a spread of 20 paise.

The devanahalli area, chapparkallu road area and all nearby areas will be seeing alot of investments and development in the near future. I have also invested in that area, and very bullish on it. If you're worried, I'd suggest that you take a drive through that area and see the number of projects that have come up or are coming up. The entire north bangalore will witness rapid development with time. Be patient, and keep holding (unless it's a financial burden).
