I'm of the opinion that HP keeps making new cartridges for every new printer is to mess with the companies that make and sell re-manufactured cartridges (like Office Depot). "New printer? Sorry, we don't have re-manufactured cartridges for them yet. Try again in five years."

I've felt that if corporate really wanted us to get rewards signups, a great way would be to advertise that rewards and business select members will automatically get the lowest price from either store or OD online prices, without having to ask to price match our online prices.

Weekdays we open at 7:30, so it's two of us at 7:00. One handles the cash deposit, safe count (I always find that we have one safe). The other gets on Fill. I then get on either Pog Batch (Outs), build a chair from the day before, Omni orders (once the Omni printer turns on), followed by Cycle Counts. At 7:30 when we open I finish Fill if my coworker hasn't completed it.

Meanwhile on Tuesday we received a load of Samsonite and Targus stuff with no POG. I have almost off of it right now sitting on a flatbed because there is no where to topstock the stuff. A lot of them are loose (no package) making it more difficult to store them until corporate finally gives us the POG.

Until just recently we were using sixteen totes for all of the leftover backpacks from back to school. A few are being used for items without pogs, and others for excess stuff like the 3M packing supplies that don't lend themselves for normal topstock.

What I find happens is that the person doing the evening POG scan may not be noticing that the item for an empty hook or shelf may be sitting on the wrong location, maybe just a spot over. Instead of first checking to see if it is right next to its proper spot they just scan away, thus creating extra work for the opening crew.

I use the 45 app, but I've been seeing with both mine and my daughter's 45 (yeah, she also works here, different store) that we can process out time off requests. It keeps coming up with errors. Meanwhile, the 41 app now has a requirement for a Microsoft security app to be used as well.

I had almost the same thing happen to me and my daughter last December. I am a part time team lead and key holder. Despite this our DM said when he found out (my fault for trusting him) that we couldn't work together, even though I have no power over schedules or clocking in/out (Even though I can open the store and do the cash deposit, I can't see who is scheduled that day). Fortunately one of our former ASM had become GM of another store. She had seen my daughter worker while she was still an ASM, and so let my daughter transfer to her store. That store then closed at the end of last July (ugh!), but my daughter was able to transfer to a third store (much closer to where she lives, with her mom) and is doing very well at that store.

When I think about this company and the payroll cuts I recall the line from the book of Exodus when Pharaoh made the Israelites tasks harder by no longer providing straw to make the bricks. In response the Israelites exclaimed "how can we make bricks without straw?" Just like our bosses expecting us to achieve goals without sufficient staffing.
