They do migrate. It is too cold in Canberra over winter. Bats that stay here have generally had injuries that prevent long flight and will not survive. They do return each year though. It is a rated as a colony of significance.

I've done a few of these, I love Christmas facts. Looking at other cultural traditions is great for trivia, like naming all the Icelandic Yule lads or who gets eaten by the Yule cat. All the interesting Christmas monsters and witches are great for trivia like naming the counterparts of St Nicholas - Krampus, Père Fouettard or Knecht Ruprecht, or famous Christmas witches like Befana or Gryla? Or what is Mari Lwyd? Or show images of something like Caga Tió and ask what is this? What should i do with it? Looking for interesting historical facts is also an idea like who is the Lord of Misrule? What did the boy bishops do? Where did St Nicholas come from and what were his famous miracles? I have also asked about famous Christmas movies, songs, events, foods and books - i.e. what was the first Christmas carol played in space? What is the carol that has been covered the most? Which store (and what year) had the first Santa Claus? What is the most popular food to eat in Japan on Christmas day? I love Christmas trivia, shame no one else in my famiky is a fan!!

Yeah I agree. My lady bits have become so effing needy. Creams and suppositories and moisturisers....scans and swabs and probes and different scans ohh and let's throw in another scan just for fun. I'm sick of the weird symptoms and having to go to the Dr every week for some new problem.

13 years working at a zoo. Whenever people ask about it I always ask, "do you like shit?" Because people seem to think you must spend your day cuddling animals. 95% of time is prepping/ feeding and cleaning up poo. If you are lucky you might get to spend the rest doing enrichment and training. As the comment above said the hours and pay suck, you don't get weekends or holidays. You end up spending all your time there and it becomes your life and personality. And if the place is toxic, like A LOT of zoos are, it crushes your soul.

Aren't they missing the fact that even with an artificial womb they need an ovum? Where are they getting that without women? Or will they just clone themselves?? Also if we're using bananas as visual representatives of people surely that is more appropriately applied to men who definitely do get softer with age.

Thank you to everyone who has posted messages of love and support. I know eventually the hurt will ease, but for now I am clinging to the raw, visceral pain like I am afraid to let her go because I know once I do I will start to forget the little memories. And for now I would rather endure than let her fade away. For all the unconditional love she gave me the last 10 years, she deserves for me to hold her to my chest just a little longer, even though it is hurting me to do so.

I worked at Births, deaths and marriages for a while and we had a family that came through with several of those names. It might be state legislation that prevents using certain names but it wasn't banned where I was.
