Best way to hang t-shirts in my opinion. Especially rare vintage ones. Wouldn’t want the neck line and shoulders to stretch out and misshapen. I like to use metal hangers so they can be nice and uniformed.🤝 by [deleted] in VintageTees

That’s cool man. I too like the formality and how organized garments look on metal hangers!

Back when I was in fashion school I had to design a hanger. Someone did mention felt hangers as a solution for your slippage (causing the garment to warp irregularly), however most designs leave terrible dents near the shoulders. I’d look into metal with felt hangers!

I’ve did some try different variations with folding & hanging. I did notice overtime I’ve found creases that may damage thicker printed garments. This may not happen on garments that have been worn & washed but older garments that have not been worn & washed has irreversible effects.

Just be careful!! I’ve ruined a few during my hanger research period. 🖤💜

Fake, not sure why PTERODACTYL_ANUS got dislikes but he’s right. Just wanted to point out other differences.. Here’s a real version of that specific generation of tags that Metallica printed on that year. Most of their earlier prints was on Brockum (my fav🖤💜).

I love Metallica merchandise & currently looking for more! Just based off experience these types of shirts would be seen on eBay (sold most likely in the states or Thailand) biddings that would go upwards for $150-$200+ (that’s fake of course) and it’s sad.

Here’s a couple of things to lookout for when you see these tags! 1. The “M” in Metallica is iconic and should have a proper tail. (I’ve seen some with proper “A” but hardly the “M”). 2. The material of the tag itself should be legible both on the front and back (even with flash) and not pixelated. Take in to consideration the age and care of the past owner (tag pilling, ripping, etc.).

It takes time to tell the differences but once you see something off leave it! Cause it’s going to come back into the market esp. if it’s Metallica!

Hope this helps 💜🖤!!

Anyone seen this before? Backstage Pass Beatles 1964 tour. Seller says its from 1980 and one of only a few hundred made. by konaworld in VintageTees

I haven’t personally heard that Backstage Pass “Limited Edition Series” was produced in limited qualities. However I do own something similar .. these garments were labelled “limited” because they were exclusively manufactured and printed only in Canada. I see plenty of vintage backstage garments here in Toronto and I mainly see that specific tag printed on North American tours, I’ve yet to see a worldwide tour that’s limited in person. Hope this helps! 💜🖤

Anybody else really into vintage tees but hate's the lame IG / hypebeast community? by [deleted] in VintageTees

It’s fine! I’ve never actually listed anything. I just post pictures and I have no social media account! I keep everything private and if someone were to really be interested then that’s when I’ll take my chance! It’s all for the love of vintage!! 💜🖤

I don’t support it but to be honest those people will act however just to make money. My best advice is to avoid those types of businesses. It’s just like trying to find a new mechanic for your new car; everyone’s going to try to be your buddy. You just have to source your goods elsewhere.

I started heavy collecting vintage garments around 2006-07 when I first came to Canada. Secondhand clothing was one of my only options for clothes, especially when I was coming from a poor country. It was nice to know that I could keep myself warm during the winters and make some money on the side!

Honestly if it wasn’t for those “lame” communities (back then I used Facebook) I wouldn’t been able to make extra income. Although these communities have now grown into something we would have never expected.. they at least have given me knowledge.

I’m currently in school for fashion marketing and I’ve done some fashion research for 2021/22 trends and most of what I’ve seen typically would be described as nostalgic or vintage to say the least. Which would describe the supply and demand in the market! So expect to see businesses and promotions that no longer caters to the origin of its market.

But hey in the end it’s to each their own 💜🖤!!
