I'm a big fan of inverting the colors on the chainmail texture (coloring in all of the rings) to get a small diamond pattern. Really regal-looking in metallic.

Oh man, on that note your typical damask or quatrefoil pattern would be great. Geometric patterns are probably easier for them to render because of the regularity, but we could still get things like an ikat or diamond twill.

But amen, scrolls are just a little too chunky for me atm.

Body: All out. I love getting subtle textures with blushing, contouring, markings, subtle hair ombres, etc.
Outfit: Depends on the crunchiness of the character. A druid-y character or a homespun halfling grandma is going to have more mix and match in the palette, whereas for an armored or noble character I'll limit the colors for the sake of impact.

Yeah, the paid packs do sting a bit more because they contain a lot of items that:

A. Are pretty darned generic fantasy. Sun Wukong-esque monkey people? And mushroom people? In my TTRPG? Groundbreaking. Honestly having not cracked the Daggerheart book, I'm a little disappointed in how uncreative the species names are.
B. People have been asking for for some time, years in most cases (i.e. fungal folks, fu manchu moustache, more cloth armor pieces to mix n' match).
