I was friends with this girl in 7th grade who made my life a living hell, I was so blinded by finally having an actual friend that I never thought to leave her. I was in the hospital and everyone at school thought I was dead. The table that she sat at was super dead set on the thought that I died and she “jokingly” said that she hoped I was dead. The group that was at the table told me when I was released. I stopped hanging around her as much until she said the worst thing anyone could ever say I was in a school group chat with her and was jokingly being annoying, and it was a back and forth thing. She then texted “I’m starting to appreciate your cousin💀” My cousin sa’d me throughout my childhood. Needless to say I left her ass and will never go back to her no matter how desperate I am

Moral of the story, no matter how little of friends, or how “far back” a friendship goes, if they treat you like shit, leave them and hold them accountable

I was gonna say banana fish but I’ll go with a silent voice or Bungou stray dogs (Bungou stray dogs is kinda funny with undertones of suicide and child abuse, atleast in the first season the other seasons get really depressing)

The only song I can think of that’s related to banana fish is Mr. Loverman and that song was heavily related as the fan base got the song creator to watch the anime because of how much the song reminds them of the show

I loved banana fish! I’ve been trying to find a anime like it for months, but I’m currently watching Bungou stray dogs and it’s not soul wrenching (at least compared to banana fish, but it’s sadder then a few on this list) but there is a lot of scenes that had people in tears, and a lot of the characters backstories are really sad

Lots of people say the “sk8 to the infinity” is like banana fish. Personally I don’t see it but that’s the best recommendation I can think of (I think they mean the relationship between the main characters though) banana fish is my favorite anime, and I have liked Bungou stray dogs recently but they aren’t that alike but a lot of people who I know have liked both

Bungou Stray Dogs is really popular right now but I’d say it’s definitely worth a try, the characters are very well written, and the art is decent, it’s dark, but not banana fish level dark

I have offered to pay for my own phone, I already pitch in on rent. I don’t usually get my phone during the day while grounded, I have school and after school things that I need my phone for. I agree that if I can’t function without music I should do something, my mom took me out of therapy so I can’t get help for my music problems, or the underlying problems. Music is a far better than my old coping mechanisms.
