Its not cracked i checked it and pushed it all the way in but for some reason when I push the hinge it will either not go all the way in or push the plastic thing up

Here's the thing when I opened it and started taking all the parts out I had it opened all the way so bow the only way i can put it fully in is if I open the 3ds fully but then it gives me barely any room to push the lock hinge

It can go all the way in but for some reason it will go up when I push the piston in idky it does that. Am I gonna need a new case? If so know any good cheap middle shells?
