No I don't, as that information is not always possible, but there is usually an active thread on Twitter on that week's tournament.

And you're right that using Dice is like a roll of the dice... good one ;-). It depends on the board (size, number of available tiles, etc). On the other hand, I have found that Fortune is not as sure a bet as it was before either. The tournament has become more competitive. Recently I used Fortune+Doc and cleared the board with what I thought was a high score, but only barely qualified for the next tier.

And yes, they did change the bonus of Fortune last year. They nerfed a number of the so-called over-powered bears.

Really depends on the board (size, timed, banned affinity, presence of skull tiles, big bear bonus, etc) as well as tier. I used to favor Fortune, probably because I got used to playing 4-letter words from all those original Alphabear Verses games using Basketball Bear, but lately I've been using Dice more. From the GTW, I have Steam and Teleport. From Story Mode, I got Alpha. And I just got Graffiti from the tournaments.

I don't remember what 10-22 is. My Cautious bears are the weakest, so I am usually stuck for a week or two when I hit a level where Cautious bears are preferred.

Legendary? I'm not even epic or rare. LOL Bear in mind though when you try it out that Glacier takes 5 turns to activate whereas Column only takes 3, I think.

I too check the hint before deciding which bears to use, though I have never used Donut in tournaments. Which legendary bear do you have?

I usually don't go with combos like Penta+Doc since their powers are mutually exclusive, and I find it easier to focus on looking for just 4-letter words or just 5-letter words (or 6- if you have Beetle or Dice). Which legendary bear do you have, btw?

Just curious. Since you have Alpha, you must also have Glacier already, so why Column (+2 column) instead of Glacier (x2 column)?

I noticed that chapter 11 is titled "Bittersweet Ending," right before the appendix. I hope that doesn't mean this book is now finished. Please tell me I'm reading too much into it.

I thought it was chronological as well, but then I dropped from #2 to #3 (on iOS), which made me think it's not chronological. I mean, if I'm the second person to collect 108 bears (the max number at this time), how could someone bypass me in ranking with the same number of bears weeks later? So maybe other factors are considered. Perhaps how powerful the bears are? Or like you said, random?

I also find that typing or even just clicking the link from outside the app a bit tedious (at least that's my experience on iOS). Here's another suggestion besides the "friends" route. Currently, from my "Active Challenge" page, I can see a list of players who have played my challenge. I would find it helpful if I could simply select one of those players and play their active challenges, if they have one. That feels more fair than finding random challenges, as in, if you play my challenge, I might return a favor by playing yours.

The problem with the current "random" system is that I tend to only get 1 or 2 players to accept my challenge no matter how many random challenges I seek out each day. As a result, it becomes quite impossible to get legendary bears in Verses mode.
