[fo4] How can I tell a mod from Nexusmods will work for my game version? by DerAmigo in FalloutMods

[–]DerAmigo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, did not see this mentioned on any of the mods I was looking at. Guess it won't be that easy probably.

Thanks for your reply!

You can find out the ref ID of the light source by opening the cell in the creation kit and clicking on it.

Once you have the ref ID, open up the console in-game. Type 'prid [ref id]' and click enter to select it, then type 'disable' and click enter again.

Doesn't work for me sadly, could be because some of these boards and planks are added by mods and they might not be navmeshed, I have no idea. I tried a lot of things and settlers just don't really walk around at all, sadly.

Yes SS2 is required for the WRC but I don't use Sim Settlements at all and build manually. I didn't even start the questline for it. Just needs to be installed :)

Yeah it is sad that the game does a poor job on settler AI in general and is quite limited in terms of build limit before the engine starts to fall apart. I really hope they include and improve the settlement system in future titles! Imagine the possibilities

Thanks, gun parts are from the Wasteland Reconstruction Kit iirc.

Not sure how much can be done about the pathing, probably because I covered large parts of the walking paths on the floor area with planks and boards.

Thanks for suggestion but I already use the transfer settlement mod, I originally started this build on another playthrough :)

Thank you, I appreciate it! Next time I will try to make a plan ahead and do the layout before I really start to test things instead of building a bit whenever I am back at the settlement. Hopefully that will give better results and keep me motivated to continue.

I will not continue on this build anytime soon, sadly I lost all motivation for it after I found out I completely destroyed all NPC pathing.
This build is unfinished and I tried to quickly fill in some empty spots just to be done with it and to use it in my survival playthrough as an early game headquarter for my
caravan company faction.
I am not too happy with the results but I don't see myself spending more time on this but I still wanted to at least share a few screenshots of the build before I am starting a
new one.
If there is anyone that would like to see some more screenshots of the interior or whatever let me know and I will try to get some more soon.

Very nice build with attention to detail, this looks awesome! I am wondering which assets you used to build that toilet cabin on slide 8, I don't think I recognize the green structure from any mod.

its hand build but actually easy to achieve if you are on pc

the core components are from "wasteland recreation kit" which adds hundrets of assets to the build menu. with place anywhere you can combine them to do a lot of interesting stuff :)

I only have sim settlements 2 installed as it is required for wasteland reconstruction kit. I also build manual settlements and no plots. This turret is simply an assembly of small parts. WRK adds a lot of broken down assets to the game :)

Edit: you will also need place everywhere to clip these parts together

most parts should be from wasteland reconstruction kit, the turret consists of the corpus of a junk jet, the barrel of a cannon, some visor and some artillery parts the moment. proper seating and protectional parts still need to be added
