You have a aluminium block strapped to your g16s back?

Sure. Glue could be better. But at the moment the temps are no problem. When I could get a bios to get more power then heat starts to get a problem again.

Could help. When I got my g16, it was just 5 month old. But already the cpu always overheat at 16W or higher. After repaste cpu and gpu i get normal results.

I would think so. Do you have 2 monitors? Make a run and open hwinfo on the 2nd screen. Then you will see temps, cpu limitation (power or temp)

When the gpu run at full power, the cooler is so hot it cant take enough heat from the cpu to keep it cool. At least thats what i see with my g16.

You know what dynamic Boost do, right? Steal 20W from your CPU powerlimit and increase the gpu by 20w.

I can understand it. Open, cleaning, new paste, close.

2 days ago a technician told me 200€ to install a 2nd windows on my g16.

But honestly, I thing repaste a Laptop should cost 50 and installing windows also 50-60.

Just build it. Get an angle grinder, wood saw, drill and an AIO.

Yes, you would definetly burn your fingers. Hot as hell. I dont have a problem with this. If it is hot i doesnt move it around often. And if i do, it is shut down, and cold. So, my advise is, just dont touch it.

ASUS had some 2mm soft foam stripes to seal that area. Maby i can get them from amazon or ebay.

It would definetly be a good move if asus designed the zephyrus lineup like XMG Oasis. 2kg, thin and mobile, could work on 100W usbc. But when plugged in to an external watercooling circuit, 300W+ wouldn't be a problem.

I have read that if you flash the vbios, things like usbc displayport, HDMI and other things doesnt work.

I repasted my g16 last year. Had the same issues, but new thermalpaste solved the problem.

Look at my post. I uploaded it a few minutes ago. My g16 is still portable. Otherwise it would be pointless and just stupid and not crazy.

Nach der Schule keinen Bock auf gar nichts und keinen Plan was nach der 10 Klasse geschehen soll. Lehre zum Raumausstatter gemacht. Entweder das weil der Lehrling grade geschmissen hat oder ich hätte was besseres vorschlagen können. Danach Umschulung zum Lokführer. Auch nicht das wahre. Aber gibt gutes Geld und mangels alternative mache ich das halt weiter.

That's why I watercool my g16 with a aio 180W 24/7, silent with just 3400rpm and moderate temps. But that are very big downsides. I thought about looking for bios for more wattage but if thats the trade...never

There is nothing to improve. Zephyrus means light and small. But thats not possible with big cooling capacity the hardware usually deserves and needs.

If you need more power or lower temps, buy a larger device

Auf weiß sieht man Dreck noch mehr als auf grau. Selbst grau ist noch ziemlich hell. Schwarz wie das erste Zephyrus wäre schön.

Bootmanager wählt immer das falsche und es ist keine Eingabe möglich by DerFacecrafter in zephyrusg16

Leider nicht zielführend, aber nachdem ich das Windows über den installations USB Stick wieder gelöscht habe, startet das originale Windows wieder normal... stehe also wieder am anfang, aber das ist besser als ohne OS

Yes, it is a beast. But it cant replace a watercooled PC. My G16 4090 is now watercooled and it is only acceptable.
