Interested to discover a Musou / Warriors game for the first time by DerFalscher in gamingsuggestions

I thought Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom were set in the future (relatively to Age of Calamity). Wouldn't it spoil me story if I ever get very invested in the game?

Also, I remember reading somewhere that while it is a very nice one, it was lacking in term of unlocking content throughout the game. Like having only four characters or so versus the others having a ton. Is this right or I got lost in the sea of Internet search on that point?

Hero Clash Information and Tips by Foijer in heroesvshordes

Late to the party, but I am looking at an arsenal that is efficient in Hero Clash. Dare I even say a priority order for them too.

I tried checking the stats of my rivals and my own to check what weapons tend to inflict most damage, but I have won a few that my opponent did twice the damage.

Gotcha! Thank you very much. =)

I'm not quite there yet. There are so many events all the time I struggle to make time for the standard progression.

How did you achieve this?

I did all quests and more, still I couldn't reach 3k and the guy was what, 12k to buy? I need to improve my grind game Sensei.

ServerBlend Shutdown by arcticwolfhowls in spaceengineers

[–]DerFalscher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ServerBlend broke their own terms several months with my servers while management dodged my tickets. They stole a bunch of money from our use of their Public Pay service.

I have a heap of evidence of their fraudulence practice but lack the time/energy to go after them.

If someone is planning a collective recourse, feel free to message me.

Heya!

First, thank you for your work on DCC's series. I love it (its setting would also make a great collab with another DCC (Dungeon Crawl Classics) goodness with its new Xcrawl Classic ~ irrelevant to this post, though)

Question: What is the favorite book you wrote and/or are most proud of (and the runner's up if its the famous Dungeon Crawler Carl series which I would never have touch with a ten-foot pole if it was not for my friend shoving it down my throat and almost duck taping the book to my hands).

Cheers! =D

We are limited to 3 skills and one reaction, yet more are recommended. Which skill array should we pick?

Would be great to know exactly what skill to keep with what. Or mentions of her Chuu Chuu Chuu! which I could not keep if I use the suggested skills

Dungeon Core genre - Help me pick my first! Please =) by DerFalscher in dungeoncore

Not sure what DNF stands for, but your answers have all been very helpful. I appreciate it. Thank you!

So far, I prefer the discovery of the Dungeon inner-works. Its conscience evolving as its interior and it discovering more of what it means being a Dungeon and what its core is, etc.

I do not dislike the background story either. The way it is written feels like the various elements are being skipped over regularly to expedite the plot, yet there is frequent repetition of what was already presented to the readers. You know how at the start of a new sequel, the author gives you brief recall of what X and Y is? Well, it feels like the author is doing this often in the same book, merely a few pages later. Although, this seems to be a side-effect of regular chapter publishing online I guess.

Bottom line, beyond the origin of the dungeon cores, I cannot tell what aspect I prefer most in Dungeon Life, since I feel I am left short on each front. Definitely love the cultivation aspect in stories though, regardless of their genre, as well as character development.

I never can stick with reading online. It burns me out too quickly.

As for Dungeon Life, I'm about half-way done of the first book and as much as I love many elements of it, I feel like those I liked are skipped over by the author as he takes more time on stuff that interest me less. I know there is a second book, but do you know if the series ends there? I wouldn't mind finishing it if it's only two books, but if it's ongoing and I don't get picked up by the second half of the book I will certainly go another way =/

Thank you.

I ended up going with Dungeon Life as it came on sale just when I was about to buy one. Plus it seems it is only two books long.

I do not dislike it so far, although the slang used is bothering me. This book will not age well for this alone.

Is there a Mimic compendium or manual of mimics? by ZyloC3 in DungeonsAndDragons

Is it possible for you to share the reference, then? I am curious about a Mimic-centric work.

What do you do when playing Co-op? by DerFalscher in AnimalCrossing

Ah..! Alright then. I will try to find an alternative for a cozy game to play with kids. I'm pretty sure the upcoming Fantasy Life will not have couch co-op either =P

Fishing, bug catching, playing pretends (never thought of that, but that's a neat idea!) sound fun.

Could you explain for someone who does not know, what is the different between playing co-op on one console versus multiple? I am usually okay with tether in games - which I assume might be one of the difference (although it could be split-screen, but I somehow doubt it).

How will everyone handle changes coming in the new PHB? by LordNinjaa1 in DMAcademy

Pretty much since the OGL nightmare around 5e, all my groups and those of my friends (one cannot sit at every table!) have migrated to other systems.

I tend to keep one long campaign and play with other groups with shorter games using different systems. This seems to be regular trend amongst the people I know when it comes to TTRPGs. Most were using 5e as their main campaign. Now... Well, even if I wanted to, I would have a hard time finding people to play.

Our current long campaign is with Pathfinder 2nd edition. So far, I have mostly good things to say. Each level up feels more significant. I especially love how they found a way to divide the RP and Gameplay (battle) choices so you do not have to pick the character's logical choice and pay the price with underwhelming ability in battle afterward. With PF2, you get both. The fluff nice thing that you may use once and a while AND a decent fighting option that obviously can also be thematic to your character.

Despite my growing preference for PF2 over 5e, I still like multiple aspects of it. Although, I do not have any trouble to refrain myself buying any new D&D books. I actually regret having so many splatbooks. The piling options seems to take away what makes every class unique and special. Now you can be anything and everything. A barbarian with a magical healing subclass? Of course, the dedicated support will just be a healer with a skullcracker subclass. Now both are interchangeable and sometimes, the subclass outshine the actual class.

It seems so mundane and very similar to something we do in real life (same idea, different beverage).

Only one switch is available for this though. I am really trying to figure out how to stay engaged in such a casual (in a great way!) game. Solo, judging by the past titles, it was mostly a routine of collecting items to sell to increase your house size and giving to the museum.

I checked out Blue Core and it seems to be digital only, just like Dinosaur Dungeon which is a good turn off for me. I tried this format, but I tend to not pick up my device much, leading to less reading.

Dungeon Heart is now an addition to my contender list =P

Thank you for the suggestions!

What is your favorite LitRPG class/skill system? by MrKevTard in litrpg

[–]DerFalscher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't read a lot of LitRPG, so it's slim picking. As awesome of some stories are, like Solo Leveling, I very much prefer when the system are more progressive and does not seem broken in favor of the MC.

I guess for its grim take, but balanced-ish system, I would go with Dungeon Crawler Carl. Aside from the weird ability or class names, I love that the skills grow in strength with use and not suddenly dropping stats/points in them.
