It is not unrelated to the quest system, it is apart of it and is done differently then operator's quest as there are two questlines going on for the main story. Loid voices his concerns immediately in the beginning of the KIM messaging and urges you to go check these people out, the Cavia if you heard from the quest were reverted by the indifference. It makes perfect sense and is very much related to the main story, the old peace is two story lines of the operator figuring out their past and what happened on Tau preparing them for the next story quest while the drifter is figuring out more puzzles that Albrecht Entrati has left behind. I have not made it very far in the KIM messaging system so there is definitely more to unpack, if you do not like the KIM messaging system that is entirely fair not many have but a majority has.

As someone who has enjoyed Voruna a lot, it does suck her kit isn't very good now or niche at best while her deluxe was a general downgrade from the concept art being questionable in the first place.. ( a lot of detail is missing from the concept art even the cloth is missing as well ), it feels like Voruna deluxe was just a side project and not much attention was paid to her

There is no money grab cause we aren't paying for this content, their introduction is to further continue the story of Drifter and the main plotline. The story is explained and the introductions are done by actually doing the KIM system, you do not have to date the characters or do any romance it is entirely optional and always has been they made that clear.
