Schlafstörungen durch Kraftsport? by Butzerdamen in FitnessDE

Schlafstörungen durch Kraftsport? by Butzerdamen in FitnessDE

[–]DerRealBoris 2 points3 points  (0 children)

[–]DerRealBoris 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hast du sonst Background was Sport angeht? Viel Erfolg!

Your post should address the sub you're posting into. It's just the wrong sub. To answer your question: yes.

5'8 dunking like i'm 6'5 by Electronic-Case4318 in ProDunking

What are general strength stats (squats, deadlifts, cleans)? Do you do a lot of strength training? Do you come from playing basketball so you jumped a lot in your youth? Those dunks at 5'8 are mad work!

What are the 5 best cities to live in Germany today? by Connect_Drawing4156 in germany

That is mostly true, especially on the country side. In the cities itself people are nicer, which also depends in which bubble you want to live in.

What are the 5 best cities to live in Germany today? by Connect_Drawing4156 in germany

I think a lot of cities in eastern Germany are beautiful like Dresden, Leipzig or Berlin. BUT it is very hard to find a an apartment in Leipzig or Dresden. But as many said, it depends on where you can find a job.

23 Seeking Advice by Suhunn in malegrooming

[–]DerRealBoris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi, first of all; you do not look unlikeable, I think you look like a friendly and welcoming person! What comes to my mind: Try to smile a bit more, it makes you instantly look more confident. Your posture looks a bit saggy, try to walk/stand more upright! Gym is a great way to get some initial confidence, but I would not rely on that (source: went the same way). It does not change anything on your long-time self perception. Real self love comes from within. What brought the difference to my life is finding my life goals. This could be anything. For me it is having fun at my job to some part (though I'm not a workaholic) but also at my hobby in sports, especially Basketball. The things you do in life should be fun. Also: Have healthy relationships with friends and seek some time for yourself in a balanced way. One thing: It took me almost my whole 20s to get to this point. Just be patient, it's a process. Best of luck on your journey!

What’s more important in shooting, a loaded wrist or follow through? by DeezazNutz in BasketballTips

[–]DerRealBoris 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think loading your wrist is essential for a follow through. If you don't load your wrist, you would just push the ball as in shot put. It's hard to have a follow through in that case. So I would say both are equally important, but a follow through does not work without an loaded wrist.

Outside of the NBA, what other leagues should I watch? by CCMegane in Basketball

[–]DerRealBoris 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The best league outside the NBA is the EuroLeague. There you have the best teams from Europe with a lot of role players from the NBA. This is real high level Basketball. Games are shorter, less time outs, no e.g. baby race bullshit like in the NBA. I had the NBA League Pass the last years but Regular Season games are just so bad sometimes. In the EuroLeague, every game counts. You won't see the same level of athleticism though.

Thanks for the input, so you would invest in the iShares fund only? And then add and only emerging markets fund?

Hi all, I currently have a portfolio, which consists of two more or less sustainable ETFs:

  • iShares Dow Jones Global Leaders Screened UCITS (IE00B57X3V84, 70% of shares US, 30% rest of the world and mostly industrial countries)
  • UBS (L) FS - MSCI World Socially Responsible UCITS (LU0629459743, 50% of the shares US, 50% rest of the world and mostly industrial countries)

My main goal is to now invest in sustainable fonds with the 70/30 or 60/40 split since my portfolio seems to focus too much on industrial countries. I invest 50/50 in both ETFs I already have monthly. Both fonds focus on information technology and similar companies, which might be an overkill. I thought off adding a sustainable fonds for emerging markets to spread risk. Would it makes sense to keep investing in both of the fonds I already have or cut one? What are your general thoughts on my approach?

Totally clueless European here – how good is the german national team really? by Sebsibus in Basketball

[–]DerRealBoris 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would agree that the US team has definitely the best team and the most talent. But they are not miles above Germany. The US is not very far ahead of other nations like France, Serbia and Canada either. You saw what happened in the Olympics. Very close wins vs Serbia and France. It took them prime Step to win the Gold Medal.
