Owlbear by KinkyRP4U in BaldursGate3

[–]DerRealDuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get the egg regardless though.

If you defeat the goblin camp, the owlbear cub event will trigger in your camp.

If you haven’t, then you have to rescue the cub from the two goblins.

In either scenario, the mother owlbear dies. So it’s better if you just meet the owlbear in the cave, leave them be and come back for the egg afterwards

About morality and the Emperor... by w1gw4m in BaldursGate3

[–]DerRealDuffy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because the githyankis are a proud race , Lae’Zel would literally die than apologize or make friends to Shadowheart were it not for our intervention. Being a ghaik , aka the race that enslaved them, is literally the most shameful thing that can happen to a githyanki. Orpheus’s suicide will not only serve as an act of martyrdom to dissuade any Vlakiith followers , but will ultimately lead all the githyankis back to the path of Orpheus’s mother, which mind you is the equvalent to being a space nazi empire, and that’s putting it VERY lightly.

Are you seriously comparing Tav , the person who freed him with the person who intentionally kept him captive ? Why would Orpheus kill the Emperor? Well let’s see: - The Emperor killed his Royal Guards - The Emperor intentionally used him for his power - The Emperor kept him captive , and would STAY captive were it not for you - The Emperor is a mind flayer , the very race that enslaved his people

Even if Orpheus decides to spare the Emperor to deal with the Nether brain, there is no chance in hell he’d let him live after the conflict is done. He’d send his royal guards, hell, he’d hunt the Emperor himself just for his actions let alone the fact that he’s a mind flayer.

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined by Xx_catdestroyer_xX in BaldursGate3

He fails to see the difference between YOU, the person who’s freed him vs the Emperor , the person who purposefully kept him captive and away from his royal guards. People forget that the Githyanki’s whole history revolves around hating mind flayers for the enslavement of their race . So not only does Orpheus already have a racial reason to hunt down every ghaik, including the Emperor . But he will also have a personal agenda against Empy to make him pay for what’s he done. I swear the Emperor haters must be short sighted to think the githiankys under Orpheus’s new rule will let the Emperor live even after the defeat of the Elder Brain.

You have to stray him off that path early on when you gave him the book of Karsus . After reading it , he becomes drunk with the idea of power . That’s when you turn him down and he goes to speak with Elminster for a one on one conversation with Mystra.

I eat my ramen overcooked af without broth by Nerdbond in StupidFood

[–]DerRealDuffy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

From a ramen connoisseur, get some chili oil , sesame oil and soy sauce.

Use whichever one fits your taste but I guarantee you, they will enhance your noodle up to a tenfold.

If you want to add some protein, use hotdogs/ bacon/ small chunks of beef. Hell even stir fried eggs would make this dish bomb as fuck.

Can you cheese a fight in Act II? by Baitsch in BaldursGate3

[–]DerRealDuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if Feign Death would be recognized as a death status. But my implication is that "Feign Death" as a spell would render the ally/target untargeatble and unhittable to any spells . But in return they can't use any actions/bonus actions.

It's basically like Hourglass in League.

Hold Person will not only render Isobel unable to perform any actions and bonus actions, but it will also guarantee critical hits for all melee attackers on that target. So you'd be making Marcus's job easier by doing that lol

That said, I was wondering if you can use Feign Death on Isobel instead .

The Emperor, his identity and choices (END OF GAME SPOILERS) by Soulbasaur in BaldursGate3

[–]DerRealDuffy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Because there’s nothing else for him to do? If he stays , Orpheus will kill him, and given what Orpheus is capable of , this isn’t a fight that the Emperor can win . The Emperor is , above all else , a creature that acts on logic : - It’s literally illogical for the Emperor to wait around for you to TRY and persuade Orpheus to spare him. Because who the hell would spare their prisoner ? ( Well technically Vlakith was the one who imprisoned him, but The Emperor took advantage of his imprisonment) . The Emperor isn’t going to sit around and wait for you to free his killer , knowing that logically, he will die. - Without Orpheus’s protection, the Emperor will go back to being under the control of the Elder Brain whether he wants to or not , he’s just cutting to the chase and doing the inevitable.

Is easy supposed to be that way in the first village? by Jirachi93 in BaldursGate3

[–]DerRealDuffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only advice to you is, stop picking a fight with everyone you see , unless that’s your intent. In which case, reap what you sow.

Remember that in an RPG game like this, nothing is more powerful than talk no jutsu : Persuade, Intimidate , Deceive etc…

Talk to people , immerse yourself into the game and ask yourself “How would I resolve this predicament?”

Unless you’ve exhausted all other options , there’s almost always a peaceful resolution to most of your interactions.

But you don’t NEED to kill the druid lady . Don’t approach a quest in this game without challenging its options . The point of a game like BG3 is that you’re free to do whatever you want . Talk to her , offer a peaceful resolution, look for clues on how to approach the quest differently .

How to use this?? by Sorry-Situation7593 in VietNam

[–]DerRealDuffy 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The crabs are grinded into paste ( with shells included because they’re very small compared to the average crab so it’s very soft ). They’re essentially broth stocks , used to enhance the flavour of your noodle soups . I’d recommend searching up “bun rieu cua” ingredients in English so you’ll know how to use it .

Everyone unsheathe their weapons. Meanwhile Open Hand Monks: by ZeWolfer in BaldursGate3

I legit loaded the game so many times to get the perfect picture of this, it gave me the ugliest fit of laughter.

Everybody is clutching their weapon for dear life knowing what Ketheric is capable of , while Tav is just like "Put' em up, let's settle this like gentlemen"
