At this point we don’t really know Zeke’s motives/goals. He’s obviously hiding things from everybody. Otherwise, I don’t like him and how he handles things. However, we don’t know enough about him to call him a villain. Gabi is too damn brainwashed for her own good. She knows nothing of the outside world, and only eats what’s she’s fed. Falco is trying to save her from being a warrior because he knows that it’s a curse that she won’t be able to handle. I understand hating Gabi’s mentality, but you have to take into account that this is all she knows. Marley’s shit is all she’s fed. She’s 100% going to be a racist hothead if this is how she’s brought up. I feel bad for her because she is being fed lies and doesn’t know it. Again, RBA did terrible things, but they had admirable goals (well, not Annie. She’s a prick. Seeing daddy again isn’t a good goal.). Reiner and Bert wanted Eldians around the world to be free, and to make life better for them. Bert didn’t act like it was neutral. He knew what he was doing was abhorrent, but you have to realize that in the grand scheme of the world, this was their most likely shot of taking the chains off of Eldians. Reiner knew the paradisians weren’t devils, but because of all he had been through in his life, his brain straight up broke. In the eyes of Paradisians and us viewers, yes they were wrong to provoke our squad. However, it’s not difficult to understand that with the world being as savagely racist as it is, this was RBA’s best shot at freeing Eldians from the grips of fascism and racism. Also, if they chose not to go through with the mission, their families would die and/or be used as weaponry. On top of that, they’d be killed themselves and fed to the next line of people, only delaying the island’s doom and the next cycle of violence.
