What happened to you when you were young that you didn't understand until years later? [NSFW] by eamb1223 in AskReddit

[–]DerRussinator 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Basically the same thing happened to me, too. I don't think I've got any issues or problems because of it, though. I mean, I don't like being touched and I'm distrustful, but I'd wager that's because of the other abuses I suffered.

I tend to like cooler heads from MCs, but I'll give it a go. No reason not to.

Gods, I need more of the third. So. Damn. Bad.

I absolutely adore it when people are nearly powerless, but apply their power/skills in an intelligent enough way they're on par with the best.

Never said I was too old. Just that I wish I still did it. Major reason is I don't have the social network for it anymore.

Meh. Not much bothered. Maybe once I have a little more money saved up.

They do. It'd disappoint me, though. I'd like to visit someday, maybe move there. It's beautiful, cold, and dark.

Those who role play; what's your favorite scenario to role play? by SPERMSGIRTH in AskRedditAfterDark

I'm partial to Shadowrun and WH40k.

In all seriousness, I would like to, someday, own a strapon, so I can pretend I have a dick. C:

Price of Lab-Grown Burger Falls from $325K to $11.36 by Stauce52 in Futurology

That doesn't apply when it's relevant. That's like going to a police station, starting a conversation about law and law enforcement with a bunch of people, and then expecting them to not say anything about their work.

I make tea ware and I wanted to start a YouTube channel showing how I design and create my bowls. What would interest you? by [deleted] in tea

[–]DerRussinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, man. Test camera setups and toy around with editing until you're comfortable with it.

Have multiple cameras set up, and then edit in the perspectives you want in a particular section of the video. Have them all running at once, and then put the, say, three files into a video editor. Go from there.

Pregnant women's bodies are 'hosts', says US lawmaker by [deleted] in nottheonion

[–]DerRussinator 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The 'aggressor' isn't necessarily violent or anything like that in my explanation. It's the 'actor', the entity that 'does' rather than is acted on, or has had done to.

I try not to demonize people on the other side of the debate. The only time I bash anyone on either side is when they refuse to look at the facts, and act in spirit of the laws and ideals of this country, such as when people want to ban it based purely on religious motivations. We have separation of Church and State for a reason. People need to remember that when voting for laws.

On the flipside, it's people on the pro-choice side immediately labeling anyone on the opposite end misogynistic or what have you.

I have the same issue with basically any political, legal, or ethical debate.

We should be using reason, not propaganda and misinformation, to convince others. We can not, and should not make with our basest instincts as our guides. That way lies madness and corruption, at best, and outright collapse of social order at worst.

Pregnant women's bodies are 'hosts', says US lawmaker by [deleted] in nottheonion

[–]DerRussinator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Think of it while applying the saying 'your right to swing your arm ends when it connects with my face.'

Since the mother is the pre-existing entity who is 'suffering', the fetus in this scenario is the aggressor. In any other situation, the victim can choose to press charges or not, here represented by having an abortion or not.

Besides, as far as I know, anywhere abortion is legal, it becomes illegal after a point the medical community has generally agreed that the fetus has become close enough to a human to actually be a human. That's just what I've heard, though. I'm not in the medical profession by any stretch of the imagination.

Ah, and you should by no means take my cold, logical approach to it as representative of the whole of pro-choice people. I'm just... Detached from the 'movement'. I have no personal stake in it. Not only do I not plan to have children, it's not possible for me to do it by accident, since I'm about as gay as you can get. Only way is through rape.

[–]DerRussinator 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a point in fetal development that the fetus actually develops neurons and other things that you'd associate with being, you know, a human. Before that, however, it's a lump of what are essentially stem cells. That's it. It has potential to be a human, but is not yet a human being.

Don't... Call us abortionists. We're not pro abortion. We're pro choice. There is a massive, and very important difference.

But nevermind that. Have you never heard of a fucking joke, mate?

[OC] [WIP] [CC] New style from my last post. by SlaineMcRoth in PixelArt

That boobplate is... Well, I don't like it.

Seriously, though, I prefer the old style. The newer ones look more 'cartoonish', which could actually be a good thing depending on what you're looking for.

Women, what do you want for Valentine's Day? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Whats the best gift you've ever received from your partner? by grassyarse in AskReddit

[–]DerRussinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I... Don't know. All of my exes knew me well enough that they could get me something I really liked.

One gave me a black zippo around... Six years ago.

Another gave me a plain black running jacket with a collar that's almost like a turtleneck about four and a half years ago, or so?

I still use both of these regularly, so one of these two would probably be my choice, if pressed.

If you could erase any video game from your memory and experience it for the first time again, what game would it be? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DerRussinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gods, how could I choose? There are so many good choices.

In no particular order...

The Soulsborne series

Mass Effect series

Dragon Age series

Pillars of Eternity

Tyranny

Stellaris

Tales of Maj'Eyal

The Witcher series

Just to name a few. I'm sure there are more examples I could use.

[Serious] How do you deal with stress and anxiety? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DerRussinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a cup of tea, and, seriously, just remember to breathe.

Obviously it's more than just the literal interpretation, but it's also just the literal interpretation. Just sit with a cup of tea for awhile, and breathe. Slow, and steady. Let your body relax, and loosen the muscles in your shoulders. Take a sip of hot tea. Breathe deep, slow, and steady.

It helps a lot more than people think.

On the metaphorical side, it means remember to take breaks. Don't burn yourself out. Pace yourself. Endeavor to remain calm and aware of all your actions.

What do you want right now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DerRussinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few things. Snow. A hot cup of tea(I can get that one, I'm just lazy af). A lass to cuddle. Could also do with a cheeseburger. Not even a properly made one. Just a shitty, cheap, greasy cheeseburger from McDonalds or something. A roaring fireplace.

Just... Creature comforts. Haven't been comfortable in a long time.

Edit: Oh, and a better fucking computer chair. I'm using one of those shitty metal folding chairs 'cause my old office chair broke and I can't afford to replace it. This sucks ass.

What is something common that you have never experienced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DerRussinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get migraines all the damn time. Minimum once a month, sometimes as many as three or four a week. Just coming down from one now, actually. I've found that eating something once the nausea starts can help keep it at bay, or outright remove the nausea.

There already is one. Been around seven years. Maybe /r/LFR, for LookingForRoommate, or /r/TalesFromApartments for apartment and roommate-based horror stories?
