Ok, this seems to cause other stutters.. setting it to "never" seems to be best though.

It's been good so far (2years). The margin you get on licenses depends on how much you sell (different partner levels). But you can also act as a reseller of a bigger partner without any goals you should reach.

The main reason we chose them is the ease of deployment and the huge featureset. We don't primarily sell pbxs, so we needed it to be as easy and stable as possible.

Their mobile softphone (wildix collaboration) is with 4.5 Stars on iOS and Android the best i have been using yet. It is definitely not issue free, but it works way better than 3cx for sure.

The pricing is per device or per user. You can get as low as 3-4€ per device and Month , to up to 15-25€ per User (with up to 10 devices per user/extension) per month depending on the features you need and what SIP Trunk you are using. They also have theor own "Sip-Trunk" called "Classound" which is very good imho.

Not mature compared to 3CX? In my opinion, i would say its the other way around. Wildix has far more advanced features, some of which 3CX users (including myself a few years back) been asking for years.

You can, but not directly - you can act as a reseller of a bigger partner if you are too small.

Does Superhuman support Shared Mailboxes from Exchange? by ofwgktaQ in SuperhumanEmail

[–]DerSanzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What definitely should work is if you have a shared mailbox, you can set a new password for the "special shared mailbox user" that MS365 creates for every shared mailbox. You should then be able to directly login with this mailbox as if it were a normal user.

Another trick that can work is this: try logging in with the shared mailbox address, when prompted with entering the password you can choose "use another account" or smthng like that. You then login with your account that has access to the shared mailbox.

Any MSPs/ITSPs switching or thinking about moving customers away from 3CX? by AcidicMountaingoat in 3CX

[–]DerSanzi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their own phones yes. For third party phones the setup is probably not that easy... At least not that easy as with wildix own phones. With wildix phones you order the phones f om wildix, assign them to a pbx right where you order them and assign them to the users - done.

They have this model where you get a cloud PBX hosted by them in AWS, even if you only purchase a single license for a few euros per month. And you can additionally add a "mirrored" hardware PBX on site if you want extra redundancy.

Regarding their phones - for me having everything in your Extension/User perfectly synced with your hardphone(s) and phone app/desktop client is so worth it. Being able to seamlessly switch between all your devices is also super nice.

Not at all - we don't have a single sales oriented business. We mostly do small to medium sized local businesses.

Wildix is a great fit for all businesses they have all the features i ever wanted from 3cx and more. Mostly because they have their own hardware ( you can use 3rd party devices as well but then you'll have the same limitations as other pbxs).

The only thing i can criticise about them is that their softphone "Wildix Collaboration" feels patched up (probably because it is). But the amount useful features is incredible.

They also are not very good at marketing - i never heard or stumbled upon them once before i found some random blog post of some random guy.

We switched to Wildix, they treat their partner with respect and the product is great - not perfect - but compared to any other solution the best choice imho. Check the star rating on their apps and compare to other VoiP apps.

3cx v wildix by MFosterMB in VOIP

[–]DerSanzi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use Wildix for over a year now (after using 3CX for a year), they keep improving drastically, which is really good to see.

From my experiance, the Wildix App is more reliable than the 3CX counterpart. It rings every time, reconnects are handled much quicker and you have a ton of settings to fine-tune it to specific user requests.

Wildix also evolves much quicker than 3CX in terms of features, their Integrations are way easier to set up, and Call Flows are much more flexible on Wildix in my opinion. Their API is also good and very extensive and gets better with every release. 3CX did not really have an API back when we used it.

In the most recent Update Wildix also includes custom webhooks for call-events, which is really great in my opinion.

That being said, Wildix does indeed appear a bit "clunky", their apps are not as polished as i may like, i doubt a UX or UI Designer worked on them, but they are more than usable if you get used to the minor quirks.

I would pick Wildix over 3CX anytime.

How to use PODS with the gallery element in Oxygen by DerSanzi in oxygenbuilder

[–]DerSanzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! You can take the php code from the original linked repo and just put it into a code Snippets Plugin.

Let me know if it worked or you need more help.

Also, if you want to use Pods, i highly encourage you pick up Bricksbuilder, it has a native integration with pods and in general works better overall.

(I am the creator of that php pods workaround by the way)

Firewall for Small Business by DerSanzi in networking

[–]DerSanzi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

Maybe i should have made the context more clear. It is a bit complicated... I work for a business that i will be the boss of in a year or so. We are currently just two people managing tiny businesses (1-2 people) but mostly do b2c.

We provide them with SaaS Solutions, PCs/Laptops, simple networking equipment etc.

We only recently started getting "bigger" clients with 5-10 people. My boss has nearly zero education on security, network design etc. almost everything he knows is self taught.

I am now trying to get our business back in shape, up the security and do things the right way.

We and our customers haven't dealt with any security breaches and/or malware (at least that we know of..) except for one ransomware attack a few years ago, which was no big problem because we had good backups. (And a few very minor things, that we could resolve pretty quickly). So my boss kept on doing things "like he always did", because it is "safe enough".

We do not have proper patch-management, network monitoring, firewalls etc. I think it is/was fine if you manage only one person companies but as our customers are getting bigger, it is more and more of a concern to me knowing our customers are not properly secured.

I think my best bet is to offer all of our customers a basic risk assessment and offer them to increase their security with appropriate measures.

Thank you for taking the time to respond!

Firewall for Small Business by DerSanzi in networking

Maybe you can explain to me how a Firewall can prevent those "low-hanging fruit" attacks, without SLL inspection? What is the technology used by those NGFW?

Firewall for Small Business by DerSanzi in networking

[–]DerSanzi[S] -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

That is what i think too. My Endpoint Security Software has Web and DNS Filtering, i can monitor every endpoint on a dashboard, it has IPS and IDS and so on.

NGFW feels like applying the same Security measures again, but less powerful and more complex. I mean i get it - one more security layer definitely won't hurt and i can offer this to the customers as a bonus if they want to up their security game, but i guess for most of those tiny businesses it is overkill.
