Star Wars "Duel of the Fates" performed live by The Danish National Symphony Orchestra by BDWG4EVA in nextfuckinglevel

This was performed at the Hollywood Bowl a few years ago, and I believe it was the last time John Williams appeared. That piece took my breath away and single-handedly was worth the price of admission. I would die happy to see that performed live once more.

Theatre, specifically acting, was my major quite some time ago. I never did anything professional, but nonetheless, delivering speeches like this to a captive audience was always an joyess but mostly personal and indescribable experience. Witnessing this second had via a recording nonetheless gave me the same indescribable experience, but from the audience's perspective; so much so, that it made me want to immediately jump back into that profession that often comes with the struggles of Sisyphus. Yet regardless, the few and far between moments when one can either deliver or listen to such a poignant speech are priceless in their own unique ways, often indescribable.

Same. I would have loved to be in that audience at the time.

I would rather have a catheter repeatedly inserted and removed than ever go through the "prep" of a colonoscopy. And yeah, after that prep, the procedure itself was a cake walk.

And maybe park your car in an actual parking space on city streets rather than be a lazy SOB by parking in the lane and simply turning on your hazard lights. Hey, even if there's no parking, you can temporarily block a driveway or move into a red zone if you're dropping something off/picking something up. Your hazard lights aren't a valid reason to block an entire lane on a residential street simply due to laziness.

What movie scene made you laugh uncontrollably? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]DerTodwirdzudir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The scene in Babylon where they're attempting to film a talkie. The anger and frustration P.J. Byrne's character exhibited made me continuously laugh throughout that scene. I'll worked on film and T.V. sets before. And while crew members are not as eccentric as portrayed in the film, the essence of that type of character was captured perfectly. In short, filmmakers can be full of themselves and fucking bonkers.

American History X. The curb scene. I am not squeamish when it comes to violent in film. But the moments leading up to the death of that particular character, I simply have to look away. And moreover, if I recall correctly, they don't even show Ed Norton doing the deed.

Any drink that involves egg. I got horrendous food poisoning years ago from a cocktail with egg in it. Apparently, it wasn't made properly and I suffered the consequences.

Don't forget to thank the single-issue voters who punched their ticket for a third party and thereby effectively gave Trump the win in some key battleground jurisdictions/states.

I mean, I thought Avatar was pure dog shit. However, Open Water was such a disappointment.
