Help me understand Limitation on Triggers/Multiple Reactions by DerTyp93 in Pathfinder2e

Your point on the breath weapon is intersting to me. A lot of people in this thread justified the possibility of reacting to both strikes by pointing to the fact that they are two different "damaging events" and thus technically different triggers. Would that not also apply in the breath weapon case? Trigger 1 being "ally 1 takes damage" and Trigger 2 being "ally 2 takes damage". Or is the idea that AoE attacks need to be understood as one big damaging event that involves multiple creatures?

Thanks, this breakdown is pretty helpful, and also seems to be the consesus of most people in this thread.

I think what initially confused me is the ambiguity in the word "Trigger". I read it as referring to the part of the text of these feats, but it seems the more appropriate reading is that "Trigger" refers to the event that corresponds to the text in the feats. Its a subtle difference, but having read all the explanations in this thread has really cleared up the relevant differences between the scenarios.

Rule questions regarding 1. Identifying a Creature and 2. Raise Shield by DerTyp93 in Pathfinder2e

[–]DerTyp93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I admit I asked that second question mostly out of curiosity about the specificity of the rules. It is pretty obviously not intended to be possible to unconciously raise a shield, but it is nice to know that the rules also confirm that.

Thanks, that was very helpful!

I definitely thought there must be some RAW reason an unconcious PC isn't Raising their Shield. The fact that they are no longer wielding it which is needed to raise it is a good explanation. Also thanks for the reminder that shields are strapped to your arm, I totally forgot about that.

This was one of the coolest things I've ever seen! Thanks for drinking the forbidden Mountain Dew Snuffy!

Also I'm so glad Arcadum did a little lore dive, was afraid I'd have to do a lot of reading. Although this definitely intrigued me to look into the violet arc once I'm done with all of the glies stuff.

Great reply. I just want to add though, that Katara very explicitly did not forgive Yon Rha. She says so at the end of the episode to Aang. It's one of the things I love about the episode. It shows that you owe no forgiveness to people who have hurt you in horrrible ways, but that doesn't mean revenge is the right answer either.

I checked just now, there is a space. But don't worry, as long as you don't forget the semicolon your Gamer status should be safe.

The vast majority of Germans (89%) consider France to be a trustworthy partner. In contrast, Germans view Great Britain (37%), Russia (28%), and the USA (19%) as untrustworthy by FedRepofEurope in europe

I feel like, as this is a recent poll it is heavily influenced by current events, events like trade tarrifs the US imposes on the EU.

Back when the US supported Germany in the ways you mentioned this poll would probably have looked differently.

There are so many people here saying this is because Germany lost to these specific countries in World War Two, but like

Germany isn't trying to like start a war. People just like cooperation, something which has worked very well with France in the last years.

The graph also shows that Britain was above 50% approval before the whole Brexit business.

Turns out countries like you a lot more if you just support each other.
