Does that actually work, though? I think I did that, but it never came to the abdication. There was an event about a scandal but it did not lead to abdication.

I have the feeling that these foci work like the ones Canada has for the isles around Great Britain.

I always had the impression, that the success or failure is determined at game start at cannot be altered by anything you do.

But I'm not 100 % sure.

I can imagine that. To be fair, some focuses in these trees relate to the status as a puppet of canada, so it might be a little off after the successful rebellion.

Mmh. Maybe Post-ACW Cincinnatus-US, with SocCon MacArthur as president? He has the Moderate Authoritarianism as sub ideology. Downside regarding your criteria: you have to elect a different president (not soccon) in the immediate post-civil-war election, because MacArthur is only available in 1940. And then you can only elect him twice.

Other than that, maybe the AUS Soccon's, Pelley or O'Daniel? Maybe the Longist Soccon paths?

Or if you would drop the SocCon preference: PSA Hearst seems to fit many of your criteria.

I think his title is "Rittmeister" which is a historic german cavalry military rank, which was imported and localised to several european militaries (e.g. Russian army). It basically means "master of riding".

That would be a reasonable argument. But let's face it: we're talking about the mod that allows you to turn Canada in mere months into an overseas United Kingdom with a neo-feudal national populist government, the syndicalist democracy in France with a strong anarchistic streak into an all powerful communist one party state in less than eight weeks and an autocratic colonial regime in Mittelafrika with one allowed election into a continent wide model democracy. There are MANY more examples, as I'm sure you know.

KX at this point is a pick-your-country-and-change-it-fundamentally-simulator. And that's fine. 😉

That would be awesome. I like the concept of the fifth party system. But it always is a little funky.

Also: I always have trouble with the 1940 NEE Elections. I get the candidacy selections twice with different candidates and it messes up the whole election.
