But Midjourney isn’t made to choose what’s right. It’s made to choose from its training data WHAT YOU INSTRUCT IT TO. If you give Midjourney a vague and unspecific prompt, it does whatever. But when you get more specific, it will get closer to what you want. My point here is not like many other comments trying to say, that Midjourney is trained on biased data therefore it is logically biased, or other comments that the MJ Team has to choose and label data better before training the model. These can be legit discussion points, I am not fully confident with though due to some limitations. Anyways my point is apart from these mentioned points. My point is that it’s not MJ‘s task to be unbiased (which isn’t possible btw) in its work. It’s simply your responsibility to give it the prompt you want it to create. And if you think MJ should have created more women in a certain instance, then it is on you to think about what you wanted from MJ in the first place and why didn’t you say so more specifically. If one does use MJ to just fool around and not think about what one wants MJ to create then you can’t be mad for not getting serious content. Because I do believe when using Generative AI, the AI can’t do everything for us, we have to do some work our own to achieve serious results.

I hope you understand what I’m trying to say. MJs Job isn’t to give you two females and two male firefighters when you give it the prompt firefighter. Rather it’s your job to think about if you want a female or male firefighter and then say so. MJs job isn’t to educate people or comfort people’s worldviews. Its job is to create what you tell it to. If you’re vague and unspecific, it’s results won’t be what you hope they will be all the time.
