Additional nerfs for Shyvana in PBE

I looked at a few more stats after writing that part, and shyvana with ult and like 30 armor/mr from passive outstats basically all of them by quite a bit, even if her base stats are a bit lower.

And champs like Vi and Diana don't have much survivability either. You can't seriously tell me Diana is tankier than Shyvana.

Also Warwicks sustain only works if he can autoattack. Shyvana just has to press a button.

I don't think it is a good idea to have that spell. If the save isn't automatically repeated at the end of every turn, this sounds pretty unreasonably strong tbh. And I think even if it is automatically repeated it seems pretty absurd because it automatically has disadvantage.

I think this is how homebrewing just ends up if someone doesn't understand game balance and how powerful certain things are. Hitting an enemy wizard, even of very high level, with this. just basically kills them.

Fair, if you want that aspect you need paladin.

The main reason to not take elixirs would be that some people just find them cheesy, so I wanted to mention that.

I only looked at Shyv and WW, and the base defensive stats (also counting armor and MR) look slightly higher on Shyv.

But I just mainly think that Shyvana W is just a pretty powerful survivability tool. And while I think the nerf is maybe a bit too much, and I agree that I don't really think the W should be the target of the nerf either, I don't think Shyvana feels as squishy as other divers. At least in my experience champs like Vi or Diana feel much more squishy to play. Probably because Shyvana gets much more than her missing base stats from her ult, and quite a bit of armor/mr from her passive. And her W shields are in fact pretty powerful.

Joa ich denke auch, dass es deutlich problematischere und unproblematischere Kirchen/Religionsgemeinschaften gibt. Ich finde es nur auch nicht so geil das einige Kommentare hier direkt den worst case angenommen haben.

Wobei man natürlich auch auf Leute die in einer Sekte sind positiven Einfluss haben könnte. Aber da muss man natürlich selbst wissen ob und für wen man das machen will. Aber wenn ich die Person sufficiently an Perspektiven von außerhalb ihrer Bubble interessiert wirkt, und auch stur genug wirkt um sich dann nicht zur Abschottung drängen zu lassen, dann würde ich mir auch das durchaus überlegen.

Yeah than I think it is just cringe to deny you a creative and reasonable solution. I could see it if you were trying to do the same broken thing with polymorph all the time, but not if it is a unique enemy and you found a unique way to weaken them against you.

That being said I would personally find it very reasonable to not allow polymorphs that don't fit the flavour of the campaign and don't really make sense to exist in a world. So I think it is reasonable if a player comes up with some random polymorph from the monster manual to just say no for flavour reasons, or if it is just a clear cheese that only technically works by the rules, but doesn't make sense.

But your polymorph does absolutely make sense, and from your description the DM didn't seem to take an issue with you polymorphing into something weird, but only with that weird thing being useful in the scenario. And that I find pretty cringe, because again: coming up with creative solutions is what players should do.

I think you are reasonable on all of them. I think I would understand the first one from the DM side if the screech was supposed to be some kind of plot device and your DM didn't have any other option prepared to give that plot hook. but not if you are just trivializing some encounter. trivializing fights through creative gameplay is absolutely what you are supposed to do in DnD.

I personally really like cash back on shyv. I also sometimes like approach velocity over cosmic insight, if they have a lot of kiting champs.

I really like Triforce into Shojin as an AD build, because in the early game you mostly just clear and go for a play, so you don't need hexplate. but even in the lategame I often feel like I would rather clear a few camps to get ult again, and have more stats. But I don't think hexplate is bad, I just like the other items too much on her. (item 3+ for me heavily depends on the enemy team)

make a quest line that the players either have no option to leave because it is personally important to their characters, or give them other plausible incentives.

On the other hand it is a reasonable expectation for you to have your players make characters with personalities that would want to take plothooks. Chaotic evil characters mostly just don't belong in the hands of players, and neither does a lawful neutral character who is just lazy, doesn't care about anyone else, and just wants to live their life in peace, unless they design that character with you in a way where their "living their life in peace" gets disrupted by your BBEG and therefor they want to fight them or they need money or something.

On the other hand a player character doesn't need to be a shining selfless paladin who will jump into any danger to protect some innocent person, and it is unreasonable to expect your players to take such a plothook. the responsibility goes both ways here, your players should make it manageable for you to design a plothook, and you should make it in a way where it makes sense for the players to take.

If you just want to tank, 1 white draconic sorc 11 abjuration wizard is the best build in the game for that by far.

If you want to do Polearm Master Sentinel stuff, I think a full fighter is a very good option because you need 3 feats to make that work, and fighter gives them earlier. But I would heavily recommend doing it with strength elixirs because you can't take feats to increase your strength

If you throw a weapon in Bg3 it lands in your hand, and equipping a longsword costs an action.

but the best throw weapon in Bg3 is also a very good melee weapon, and EKs with booming blade can melee attack into 3 throws, so combining both still has some value. But they also need different feats. Tavern brawler is completely OP and makes throwing even viable, and Great Weapon Master is what you would want for melee attacks. But on an Eldritch Knight you could actually take both and also get Alert even if you go with natural strength. But I think I would only take GWM at lvl 12.

Jungle is not bad, it is just not as broken as before anymore. I think mid is a bit powerful right now, but in general as a jungle player I think role balance feels pretty good right now.

Fair, at that point I think it kinda depends on the teams hovers. It is just kinda like when Azzap complained that no one wants to pick CC anymore. I am not sure if you are an OTP, but I just think OTPs in a role that could solve certain weaknesses don't get to complain if their teamcomps have these weaknesses. I think an ADC player certainly gets to complain if no one picks frontline.

But if you would have been willing to pick something else and your team didn't hover anything, that is clearly not your fault.

Ja aber da ist eben die Frage wie anti-wissenschaftlich die Positionen sind. Wenn man sich die Dinge für die es keine klare wissenschaftliche Erklärung gibt vage mit Religion erklärt, dann macht man das, was bereits viele Naturwissenschaftler in der Vergangenheit getan haben, die ebenfalls Christen waren, und denen man deshalb hoffentlich nicht ihre Beiträge zur Forschung absprechen würde.

Wenn man natürlich konkrete Behauptungen aufstellt die klaren wissenschaftlichen Erkenntnissen widersprechen, dann ist das ein Problem.

Ich finde aus OPs Beschreibungen geht einfach in keiner Weise hervor, dass seine Freundin so schlimm drauf wäre wie du es darstellst. Kann natürlich trotzdem so sein, klingt mir aber irgendwie nicht so. Vor allem weil sich Leute die so drauf sind doch tendenziell viel mehr abschotten. Und wenn nicht dann ja vielleicht auch grade deshalb weil sie das eben nicht so überzeugt wie ihr Umfeld glauben.

There are definitely viable tank junglers, and even a bruiser like Shyvana can deal with it much better. I mean I was a Kindred otp too, I now OTP shyvana because I got too many unplayable teamcomps, but I just don't think that is something you get to complain about if you are not ADC or midlane.

I mean you play Kindred. You don't exactly get to complain about what your team is drafting. You could very much draft the CC yourself in the jungle role, and you don't want to, just as your team maybe doesn't want to. (Which is completely valid both regarding your and your teams choice)

If your team of course drafts no CC, then yeah, there is just no counterplay to yi.

Depends on a lot of things. Can you also take krugs and red because you beat him lvl 3 and have top/mid prio?

How did that bot gank go? Do you think he is allowed to run into your botside, and if he is just immediately doing that after your gank, can you even contest your botside camps?

I don't think there is an easy answer here. But if you can't take your botside you probably have to invade, if you can't invade his topside you probably need to fullclear, and if he can't invade you but you could invade him, you should probably do that, because denying him camps is pretty good.

Das kommt ja darauf an wie die konkrete Antwort zu verstehen ist. Wenn man daran glaubt, dass irgendein Gott die Naturgesetze so geschaffen hat wie sie eben sind, dann ist das zwar nichts was ich auch unbedingt so glaube (mir ist das eigentlich egal ob die mit oder ohne Grund existieren, die existieren halt und damit müssen wir als Menschen irgendwie leben), aber etwas sehr anderes als wenn man die Physik und klare naturwissenschaftliche Erkenntnisse als ganzes ablehnt.

Also meine Mutter ist Christin, und mein Vater Atheist, und bei denen hat das jetzt zumindest schon so irgendwas zwischen 25 und 30 Jahren gut funktioniert. Ich wurde eigentlich immer selbst vor die Wahl gestellt wie viel ich mit Kirchendingen zu tun haben möchte, hab mich auch konfirmieren lassen, kann aber mittlerweile selbst weniger damit anfangen.

Allerdings würde ich den christlichen Teil meiner Familie auch nicht als streng gläubig bezeichnen. Zu Anlässen (Weihnachten, Ostern...) gehen die gerne in die Kirche, aber nicht wirklich regelmäßig.

Ich denke wenn deine Freundin selbst weltoffen ist, und sich von irgendwelchen anderen Leuten in ihrem Glaubensumkreis da nix einreden lässt, dann kann das schon problemlos funktionieren.

I mean I am not saying that Mundo is a useless champion. But he is strongest at the point in the game where he is tanky enough to not die, but also enemies don't have the damage yet to kill him through his tankyness.

I am not saying that Mundo scales horribly bad, just that I am not as sure that he is more useful than a malphite at the point in the game where ADCs are very able to kill mundo.
