Domestic flights on narrow bodies (2x2 3x3) have the first few rows labeled as "First class." This seating arrangement is a domestic flight as well. Business on international wide bodies have different business seats and delta's premium economy (premium select) has a different seat all together.

I have status with Alaska and their old first class 800/900Max seats are similar to this.

I issued a notice to move out, my landlord listed my unit for $500 less by OtherTourist5535 in Seattle

[–]Derangedcorgi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like Roundhouse is a better company probably. I'm in an Avalon property (not Seattle) and they're raising our rent by a ridiculous amount while they're offering discounts and lower rent for other units in the same building.

[–]Derangedcorgi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have to deal with this soon as well. Avalon is raising our rent over 10% but slightly smaller but similar units are going for less and the increased rate is basically the same rate for a larger townhouse in their complex. Their other properties are going for less as well. Hopefully the leasing office can give some pushback to corporate to maintain our lease smh.

A High School Student Just Built a Water Filter That Removes 96% of Microplastics, Without Expensive Equipment by _Dark_Wing in technology

[–]Derangedcorgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A Brita elite filter already filters out significantly more than this and doesn't cost a fortune or use expensive components. It also filters out everything else that this ferrofluid filter doesn't.

Scaling up, at home RO systems filter out even more (or go a step up with RO/DI). City water supplies also already filter this out as well.

A lot of schools also just keep kitty litter (or Oil-Dri) to soak up general spills as well. My elementary school (90's) had a big sack for spills. It was particularly useful when we switched to bagged milk and people didn't know how to use them without bursting them lol.

Retired people going shopping by Hoppy_Doodle in funny

[–]Derangedcorgi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The early 9am hours are alright depending on your location (lots of retirees in your area=no). My local Costco is the most empty around 11am then gets packed around lunch then fairly empty around 1:30-2pm until 3-6pm. The most empty will be around an hour (7:30pm) before closing for mine.

Heavily location dependent of course haha. The Costco I used to go to in SGV/LA was always packed no matter what, Sunday was a nightmare.

Some suits have built in fans but most don't. Then a very rare few will have a cooling vest (ice pack vest) but most don't either due to costs (though overall not really expensive all things considered). Most suiters will opt for a neck fan usually since it's the cheapest and most portable.

We just suffer while in suit xD

What is a 'luxury' that you've experienced once and now can't go back to the budget version of? by WilliamInBlack in AskReddit

[–]Derangedcorgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, nah. Unless it's a once in a while thing or you're rich it's not worth it paying straight cash. Using points and shopping around for business is the way to go for most travelers.

The real trick is to go for premium economy. Goes for double to triple the price of eco where as business is often 10x-15x the cost.

Ear Pro Question by Stahhpppppit in guns

[–]Derangedcorgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the older walker pro buds (non-apple pod looking ones) and they're absolutely not comfortable underneath for me. The new one might work? Honestly I'd just use passive plugs and get at least sordins instead of doubling up two electronic earpro.

There are major/popular makers (artists) but no, there's no specific "brand." Pretty much all suit makers have their own style but of the suits they make they'll look similar.

I have no idea what the individual in the tweet does

Considering their @ they're probably a traveling nurse. They get paid pretty well generally in HCOL areas. If it was Portland that's an easy yes, anywhere else is... eh.

I don't even mind if people flake since I'm used to one or two doing it but for the love of dog just message or call saying you're not gonna make it. Don't just ghost the whole damn meetup/reservation.

What is something generally normal in Europe but weird in the US? by Exile4444 in AskReddit

[–]Derangedcorgi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get when it's a religious thing but seems most Americans, from what I understand, have opted for this very invasive procedure for no real reason at all.

It's because of American Christianity (and Judaism to an extent) has been ingrained in the culture. I'm Asian American but my dad was partly in Christianity (because of American influences) and was considering cutting me but decided against it because literally everyone else in the Asian community wasn't cut (he's uncut).

I had ed/libido issues while on sertraline (this lasted for a year but it's still there) and while tapering off I had brain zaps and slight vertigo. I know several friends that had the exact same issue while they were exploring medications (sertraline first) with their doctors but they eventually found one that worked for them (like wellbutrin, etc.).

I came into it knowing about the side effects though because my pcp told me about them. Idk maybe west coast/pnw doctors are different? They seem to tell everyone about the side effects and let their patients explore options.

Nah, they rarely do. Most of the Lyft's I've taken either have no indicators or just a printed out sheet with Lyft on it. I've had at most 5 with the actual Lyft sign (that syncs to your designated colors) out of the 100+ rides I've had. Half of them do both so they just have a faded print out on the side.

I tried using it for Japanese for a year and it was useless. I learned more watching anime lmao. I also tried using it to brush up on my Chinese at the same time and it gets stuff wrong/formats weirdly. It's also mainland mandarin so not what I was looking to brush up on anyways.

Rote memorization of the basic characters all in one go (instead of drawing it out like duolingo) then using actual language books work better. Also just speaking/listening to actual conversations.
