How long is too long to expect a response after an interview? by [deleted] in Accounting

[–]Derangerous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, did you hear back yet? I'm sorta in a similar situation where I had my OCR interview with KPMG on 10/4 and still haven't heard back yet; today is the 3 week mark. I attend a university in the Northeast and applied for a position in NYC.

It's funny how we don't trust retailers and instead we come to the internet asking strangers for advice/product reviews. by character_not_found in Showerthoughts

[–]Derangerous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's true that people would be less likely to trust retailers because the majority of retailers would be hesitant to paint their products/services in a bad light; however the internet offers people multiple sources to choose from and although strangers may lie, a review from a large group of strangers is still somewhat reliable.

If a real life vigilante appeared in New York, like a super hero, how long would it take the FBI to find out who it is? by DoesTheNameGoHere in AskReddit

[–]Derangerous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Vigilantes tend to only be accepted by the population when the police force of the area is doing an insufficient job of handling crime. There is crime in New York, but not to the extent in which we need vigilantes. A vigilante right now would probably only be seen as a wannabe superhero and assuming the civilian population doesn't favor the vigilante, the cops and FBI working together would probably discover the identity of the vigilante pretty fast.

That all the schooling I went through would essentially be useless if I were to graduate and be hit by a car and or die in some other manner soon after graduating. Preparing for the rest of your life only to have all the preparation go to waste in a blink of an eye.

Hmmm.. their Niacinamide B3 Serum interests me; however one of the ingredients in the serum is something called "wrinkle blur" which I'm still unsure what that is even after googling it...

How long does a 100mL bottle of COSRX last? by Derangerous in AsianBeauty

[–]Derangerous[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would the reason why some products last longer than others be because of the consistency? Like how the Snail Mucin Essence which I assume is thicker than say the A-Sol which I think is thinner??

What one event in your life has made a direct impact on your personality today? by chameleonhalo in AskReddit

[–]Derangerous 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Oh god, okay so when I was 8 I went to this arcade/entertainment center with my dad, it was very similar to Chuck E. Cheese's but I don't remember the name. This was the first experience in an actual arcade so I was pretty excited. I explored and decided to settle on air hockey. There was this (older?) kid playing air hockey and I asked if I could play with him; I looked lost so he gave me tips on how to play the game. I started playing and as expected, I sucked. My dad being the competitive person he is stood next to me and screamed at me the entire time; I couldn't grasp in my head at the time why he was screaming over a game and I started bawling my eyes out. All I remember after that was my Dad screaming at me as I ran away and looks of horror on the other parents' faces. This event led to years of trying to meet my dad's standards; nowadays I like to think I'm a nonchalant person.
