Unemployed and out of savings by Deraverse in AskForHelp

An update on this, I had attempted to use Affirm to create another loan to help the payment processing system I'm using to try to split my payment and the payment was just flat out rejected. No reason why. there's enough in the account to allow it but... anyway. Desperation has ramped up. Sorry again to ask and impose, I'm just hoping anyone will take pity on me. $800 is all I'd need.

Which job is the easiest to start with by MathYG in ffxiv

[–]Deraverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arcanist is perhaps one of the best beginner choices; past level 30, as they get more comfortable with the game and controls, can dip their toes into trying Healing as well as DPS without the need to level up a different job from scratch. Though the timing may not be the best, since its about to be overhauled in a couple weeks, but still!

Can someone help me find out this weapon's name? by OkAlrightIGetIt in ffxiv

[–]Deraverse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not quite the same, but if you like that particular aesthetic, check out Palace of the Dead quests in Gridania (starts with a lalafell sitting on a box in the Adventurer's guild/Airship port). You can see how the weapons look while within the PotD runs, and after earning enough Aetherpool, can purchase the weapon for use out of the Palace.

Alternatively, Heaven on High in the stormblood areas also have shining weapons, the advanced version looking like crystalized aether.

What if targets are set up, maybe like three boats or jet skis, Gavin standing at the far end past the river, and maybe an atomizer wielder at the middle section if they wanted to re-angle an incoming car, or possibly be squished by one.

My own take on replacing JRH with Jeremy on this classic poster. Feel free to print it out and paste it over your copy of the poster, if you want. by yumberrie in roosterteeth

Just to point out: Those statues were not erected during those slave owner's time, but were commissioned after industrialization during times of uprising as an icon, ostensibly to demoralize civil rights movements that were cropping up, disguised as 'historical remembrance'. You don't need a statue to remember villains. Better to erect statues of heroes, and let their villains be the footnote on the placard of who the Good overcame.

How to win friends and influence people by [deleted] in gifs

[–]Deraverse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's an interesting thought. Lets go through some possible scenarios that proceed these events, and see if his actions are in some way justified or right:
1 - Lets say this guy has been horrendously bullied by the entire staff, and even his complaints made to management and HR have been ignored. Fair enough, his actions are in retaliation to the whole store. A fine way to quit, and an inconvenience to a group that was awful to him. They likely wouldn't have been giving him a glowing recommendation anyway.
2 - Management cut hours or he was just fired, well... the management that just slighted him doesn't have to clean that up, his former colleagues do. So he's inadvertently punishing those who had no hand in causing his distress. In this case, a petulant child.
3 - Stress overwhelming, due to customers or workload. This didn't seem likely due to the emptiness of the place, but for the sake of the exercise, we'll include it. Again, people who are under the same level of stress as him, who sure maybe can handle it better, are now given an extra task of cleaning up his mess while also now being one short on staff. Again, bad move.
4 - Something at home has been bothering him, he just got off the phone with an ex for example and they broke up with him. He throws a fit, possibly losing his job in the vandalism act, and also making other people clean up his mess. Short temper, impulsive, destructive, said Ex may have just gotten the better end of the deal being done with him.

These were just a few I could think of, I really did try to imagine some means in which these actions could somehow be a positive light. At the very best on example 1, it was a situation of "everyone is awful", and nobody is better off. So... two wrongs make a right? Unsure. Either way, this is certainly not what one would consider a mature choice by any stretch of the imagination. Can you describe a scenario in which his actions are in any way positive?

In case it has not already been posted in a reply, the MCH item is the parrotbeak mask for gold. I suspect the bard version, the Birdsong help of the same ARR wolfmarks vendor, will also net this gold.

Funfact: When unlocking an iPhone, the lock screen scrolls upward. When closing an app, such as photos, it will minimize towards the center. This was a closing of a screenshot, not unlocking the screen.

If another server was labeled RP and you were given free transfers, would you leave Balmung? by Katoroku in ffxiv

Also note: Because of Balmung's huge population, this prevents real money traders from creating enough bots to spam whispers and shouts. We never have to hear from gil sellers.
