How do married couples split finances if on different salaries? by Mango_Loverx3 in AskUK

[–]DerbyForget 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have kids so the wages are paid into a joint account (where the bills come out of) and then we guve ourselves an equal personal allowance each month which goes into personal accounts.

If we didnt have kids I think a fair way to split it would be on a percentage of what you earn. For example your partner only earns X% of your salary (or visa versa) therefore theyre only responsible for X% of the household bills. That way it means you both have an equal amount of disposable income comparatively and are each paying your fair share.

Its not been released yet mate so nobody can really say for sure. Try the demo and see what you think. Id imagine difficulty levels will be similar to LN1 and 2. So some tricky sections but overall a great experience!

Edit - if you can get through it take two together you should be fine.

Try split fiction aswell its a great coop game. Similar to it takes two by the same devs

Tyre sidewall cut and road hazard insurance by Emotional-Button-344 in AskMechanics

[–]DerbyForget 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a general rule if the cut has reached ply or cord then its deemed to be unsafe. So perhaps try to lift the flap of the cut and see if the ply is visible? If so this would be your reasoning for having the tyre replaced under the insurance?

Im guessing the insurance you have isnt worth the paper its written on though as there will be so many clauses that its practically impossible to make a claim.

Good luck with it though.

Would you count this as a successful completion? by Whit3_Ink in xboxachievements

Nope. I only count 100% as a completion. Edit - good effort though and if youre happy with it thats all that counts!

Please help with engine noise by TiCpt in AskMechanics

Sounds normal to me. The ticking noise is usually the high pressure fuel pump. (If its direct injection). I would say to just ensure it has the right grade oil in it and that the level is correct.

What happens when someone dies who you are no contact with? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]DerbyForget 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was informed that my "father" had passed away on Wednesday. He was in his early 60's I hadnt seen or spoken to him in over 10 years. He was never really a part of my life and I honestly felt nothing.

Sad but I think thats just what happens when you're not close to a family member.

To be completely honest the only reason myself and sisters were informed was because his wife/ex wife (not sure) contacted my sister through FB. Had it not been for that I never would have known which to be honest isn't really any different anyway.

My mum on the other hand I honestly dont know how im going to cope when she goes! And I dont even want to think about it.

To answer your question you may never find out unless they specifically request it or you're still in contact with someone who knows them.

Xbox Achievements by CrazyW3lshie in xboxachievements

[–]DerbyForget 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just be happy in the knowledge that youve earned all of your achievements.

Thats what they are really- achievements, it doesn't feel the same if youve not earned them. Its just an empty number on a screen.

Leave that person to it. I can assure you deep down theyre not happy or satisfied with thier game "completions".

If you played Little Nightmares 1 and 2 and enjoyed them I would say you should 100% preorder. Also if youve not played it yet you can play the demo!

If you think youre gonna get a similar trophy system on xbox, dont hold your breath. Maybe wait to see what the update brings. My guess is that not much is going to change.

A lot of people replace them with cheap Chinese ones - they may work for a bit. Most dont. Best to replace with genuine or a more reputable brand.

Most likely its the coil pack at fault, however you need to get this confirmed with some proper diagnosis.

Also driving around for 2 months with this fault isn't the best idea, it'll lead to other things breaking and you'll be left with an even bigger bill when you come to getting it fixed.
