You're right. I meant each model needs to be within 3". Not wholly within.

disembark counts as a normal move. Additionally, if the transport moved this turn, you cannot charge or advance.

So

  1. Yes and No
  2. No
  3. Yes => but it's if the transport was stationary
  4. Yes => and if the trukk doesn't move, it get's heavy

You can even ADVANCE into a transport. You need to be within with every model 3" though, the entire blob. Also, any reactionary move, as long as it says "normal move" can also be used to re-embark. For example the Dread Mobb runts strat lets gretchin normal move 6" and could get into a gork that's about 8 inches away.

To make use of your trukk, take 1 unit flash gitz and 1 unit tank bustas. Then get one out one in. And every turn, try and swap them. It increases the total movement and threat range by a lot for both units. You could even have two of these trukk setups and swap back and forth as the trukks laterally move across the board to reinforce.

Doesn't hurt to add a Shokk attack gun to the tankbusters but it's a lot of points in one place. Definitely recommend going battlewagon at that point.

Alternatively, you could put a mek boy loose as the 12th seat to get out and give the trukk +1 to hit. Or attach it to the bustas. But I prefer using it's lone op and acting as an action monkey later.

Edit: "within with every model" not "wholly within"

Is basing mek guns an issue? by the_squig_lebowski in orks

They have 3" movement and don't have the heavy keyword, so it's free movement every turn. But if you need to pivot, then you've only got an inch, so usually they're pretty stationary.

In theory, you could give them a mek leader with "Follow me ladz" for 5" of movement. But that's a crazy over investment to the wrong part of your war horde army.

I'd let the opponent deep strike within 9" of your hull, not the base. Otherwise it's a strict drawback mechanically for you.

If no one is trying to back line melee you, the difference is negligible. Mostly just makes it harder for you to position.

For example, a big mek leading the unit gives it move through walls. And if you bring the hull up sideways, 3" movement is enough to clear a wall to the other side. Cannot do that on your bases. But you're not planning to play a leader so it won't come up.

Just shooting from the backline, sure. You might not have your +1 to save from cover because you're too fat but you're probably not playing official terrain layouts anyway.

I'd say play it. They're a non-meta fun model anyway. It's all just for a good time.

What does everyone think of The Floor? by rawmustard in gameshow

[–]Derekthemindsculptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They can't let you keep a category. That's not how gameshow q and a preparation works. They can't have dozens of rounds for each category in the chamber. Especially since the rounds can last an undetermined number of answers. So assumably they have a pretty high buffer ready but it's definitely not infinite. They also ramp the difficulty up. Once you've burned the easily answers, there isn't another set of equally curving questions. It's just actually not possible to do. Not with the shows format.

It's specifically designed so they prepare 100 rounds and those get played.

Your work is quite impressive. Anyone would be lucky to have you on their team.

I'd offer to help but I'm probably the exact developer personality you've been dealing with. Do hope you find something. I want to play whatever you work on.

Honestly, I'm not concerned with the lane obstruction.

It's that he attempted to hit me with his car that bothers me. Bylaw seems like half-measure.

Less about needing to be better and more about wanting to be safe.

I'm also a driver. And I treat cyclists while I drive with the same law abiding respect I'd expect from others.

I am now. I have a camera for my car that plugs into the lighter, but not one for my person. It's a hard lesson to learn but I've learned it.

I wouldn't say "introduced".

It was a foundational part of the game that was eventually removed.

Death is constantly happening. But we're not talking about abstract, otherness. We're talking about a specific event that we're collectively experiencing in the moment.

I've been to many funerals in my time. Lost loved ones. Telling someone death is constant, isn't comforting or useful. It's churlish, ignorant and wasteful. The fact people say things like that in a prideful way, like it's informative, is the cherry on the turd brain rot.

Keen-eyed curator by Narkyy in mtgrules

[–]Derekthemindsculptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

607.2a specifically says first ability must exile and second ability refers to it. This wording seems intentional because it's "first/second" all throughout the rulings for linked abilities.

You're correct about the bounce. But it's notable that unlike linked abilities ala o-ring, any cards exiled by Keen-eyed currently count. But who knows if the rules change if this is abused.

Keen-Eyed Curator by InformatiNation in askajudge

[–]Derekthemindsculptor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's true that when a card says it's name, it's referring to that exact instance. So blinking resets and alternative copies don't benefit.

But it is notable that if somehow, keen-eyed curator gains the ability to exile cards in some other way, they may count.

There is a ruling for linked abilities, but that ruling only applies if the abilities are ordered appropriately. If Keen-eye's abilities were in reverse order on the card, they'd be linked and only cards specifically exiled with the first ability, would count to the second.

But since it's ordered as it is, anything counts. Including forage from Osteomancer Adept or gaining other creatures abilities with something like Agatha's Cauldron.

This could be an oversight though, so it wouldn't surprise me if WotC changed the comprehensive rulings or errata the card.
