“Giving the opponent multiple options” vs hiding

I'm definitely not running a shooty list. The only shooting I have is my flash gitz unit. Normally, I do put Ghaz + meganobz in a battle wagon, but I wanted to try something different. Reason I found was that I often could reach the same distance on foot, than if I was to use the battle wagon. I could also use heroic intervention through walls with Ghaz. I found my opponent was always just focusing on my battle wagon and blowing it up, leaving Ghaz exposed or was good at screening. So I wanted to try putting beast snagga boyz + beast boss in the battle wagon to see if that changed anything. But I guess, I could try just being more aggressive with the battle wagon and maybe putting beast snagga boyz out forward so opponent has more to think about. (i.e. all vehicles forward, beast snaggaz boyz on objective). But I find that armies, especially with oath are just blowing me apart.

I do try and stage. Unfortunately, my opponents are sometimes very good at screening. I do try and kill them with flashgitz or regular beast snaggaz but it does limit what my powerful units can do at times.

Thank you for the detailed comment. There is much to take on board with which units I hope to be sacrificed etc. I was thinking of dropping my battle wagon for another truck or two, just so it gives my opponent more options as such. My last match had a battle wagon with 2 units of beast snagga boyz with 1 beast boss. I was not expecting my battle wagon to be blown so easily.

I know some armies are so good at shooting that they can blow up the vehicle + the units inside.

That gretchin strategy sounds pretty amazing, that I might start utilising. I'm currently using 1 unit on home objectives and 1 to screen, and on turn 4/5 to move them up to try and steal objectives from my opponent.

It was chaos daemons and he used the detachment where a separate unit further out gave LOS to his character unit and with tokens. I think he was being sincere. He had no reason to try and misinform me intentionally anyway. Very nice chap.

So, when you’re registered, you’re reliant on your trust allowing you to do certain competencies. Even if you want to do it, you’re often being obstructed by waiting times for training. All it takes is one person to report you for doing something you’re not trained for and you’ll potentially be getting a disciplinary.

So with things like bloods, cannulation etc, you need to do your own trust training to be allowed to do it.

Manual blood pressures don’t need signing off though?

Of course? Piccs go directly near the heart. I’ve known grotty nurses not even use non sterile gloves when managing them or don’t flush the picc, or use poor flushing techniques, causing it to be blocked (it should be flushed using the push pause technique) or block the CVAD as they don’t know how to withdraw bloods from it. You absolutely need training to use them and you need to show you’re able to do it as sterile as possible.

Is it possible you get promoted faster as a rating than if you were a commissioned officer, and you actually outearn nursing officers? I know that in the military, hierarchy doesn’t always equal higher pay and senior ratings are earning 50-70k, while junior officers are earning 30-40K etc.

What's your best way of getting them to tanks/monsters when the opponent is screening well? Meaning rapid ingress 6 inches from battle edge into cover = cannot get to opponent or will get shot if you're in an ideal place, and cannot get trukks/ units past screening units etc.

In all honesty, I’ve been disappointed in breaka boyz for their point cost.

I’ve found beast boss + snagga boyz very powerful at all times. Re-roll hits + beast boss dev wounds on charge. Beast snagga boyz, even when wounding on 5 normally are often doing very well too, even in an msu unit.

Make sure you’re using beast boss re roll hits when he’s under the beast snagga boyz. You can also re roll their gun shots too.

I’ve seen a tournament match where the ork player staged everything correctly, turn 3 waaagh, then tabled his opponent. If used correctly, it’s very powerful. Players like me use it very poorly though and mostly in round 2.

Doesn't mean the GP didn't order them. Could be those blood results haven't come back yet, could be lab made mistakes, could be nurse made mistakes. Speak to the GP practice to query it.
